An excellent hotel experience! This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. The location is amazing. It is nestled in the foothills west of Denver as you drive west into the Rockies. It feels like you’re in a small mountain town but only 30 minutes from all the Denver attractions and convenient to the mountain attractions to the west. The room and the common areas were spotless. As other reviews stated, the beds are high off the ground but comfortable. The view from our room was the Front Range, but all the rooms are either overlooking the mountains or a wooded hillside. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and conscientiousness. A special shout out to the front desk staff and the man and woman who maintained the breakfast room. Housekeeping was by request, which seems like the new normal in the hotel industry. You just have to remember to set it up the night before. The breakfast was tasty, but it literally was exactly the same for all 8 days we stayed. However, it was free, and there were enough options that it was satisfying. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay. It is right off I-70 in an area with food and shopping, but it is not your typical highway stop or suburban hotel. There are parks and natural areas all around. There are elk in the area as well as mountain vistas. With all of the wonderful amenities, clean and comfortable environment, excellent location, and great staff, this hotel was a major part of an amazing Colorado vacation and an excellent value for the price! If I’m ever in Denver again, I will definitely try to stay here again!

Comfortable rustic log cabins nestled among towering Rocky Mountain pine and spruce trees, with full kitchens and huge stone wood-burning fireplaces. There are large front porches, picnic tables, BBQ grills, lounge chairs, and sitting areas along the creek. Located 25 miles west of Denver and an easy, 45 minute drive from Denver International Airport. The cabins have been a resort destination since 1947 in beautiful Evergreen (1 mile away), which is a sought after destination from around the world.
We have stayed at Colorado Bear Creek several times when visiting family in Evergreen. The cabins are comfortable, spotlessly clean, fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom and outside area. Proximity to Bear Creek is breathtaking! The housekeeping staff is very thorough and friendly. The owners are very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would not stay anywhere else! HIGHLY recommend!

The cabins were wonderful! We stayed at the Fish Camp which was very private and cozy. The decoration, beds, linens and the quality of everything was top-notch. Great weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway

We are a nature lover's retreat in the lush hillsides of beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. Here, you can enjoy the fresh Rocky Mountain air, the soft murmur of Little Cub Creek, and our frequent special guests, the Elk and Deer that graze on our property. We're just a 10 minute walk from downtown Evergreen, Evergreen Lake, and the famous "Little Bear". Originally built on the site of the historic Van Cleve family estate in the 1920's, each of our suites feature a private entrance, private en suite bath, and a private deck or patio. Most even offer a fireplace and a full kitchen or kitchenette. We are surrounded by trails for hiking or snowshoeing and are located just off the famous "Lariat Loop". We're less than an hour from the Denver International airport, 20 minutes from Golden, Colorado, and a little over a half hour away from LoDo (Lower Downtown) in Denver. The lodge has 6 suites and 1 cabin, each with their own unique personality. Drop by and stay awhile. You may arrive as strangers, but you'll leave as friends.…
Made a best-ever choice to stay in Evergreen while visiting family in Denver. An unexpected snowfall gave us two full days alone in Bountiful Cabin which helped me learn the art of relaxing! So cozy, with two fireplaces and two TVs plus wonderful WiFi. My husband and I especially appreciated the comfy club chairs in the large bedroom with plenty of floor space for our Lucy-dog. As an early riser, it was nice to have the living area with nice sofa and separate TV while starting breakfast. Enjoyed cooking simple meals and brewing coffee or tea. Gorgeous scenery, elk nearby, magical creek, and a hot tub and fire pit area we’ll want to use on a future visit. Lovely 30-35 min drive to see family in Centennial, Englewood, and Broomfield. Owners Lisa and Tommy were helpful and kind as they were busily making property improvements - even their workers were friendly to us. They take pride in their property and we were happy guests who loved the place as if our own...wish it was! We’ll be back!

Discovered this gem a bit by accident.... While we had been coming to the area for years, we never really spent the night. So finding this B&B 4 miles south of evergreen was a surprise; a very pleasant one. First, Pete and Wendy are superb innkeepers. Both very friendly and open. They have great personalities and we have enjoyed talking with them at length. The breakfast is amazing; 3 courses of very nicely prepared upscale recipes masterfully executed by Pete. But come with an appetite as he doesn't hold back on the portions. We stayed in the Suite and enjoyed having a nice sitting area with electric fireplace. The king bed is the best feeling bed I can remember ever sleeping on, including my own at home. But overall, from the moment you come into the Inn, the warmth and attention to details and decor is almost overwhelming; it's just so nice! Relaxing by the fireplace, all the old wood and cabinets, it's really a great venue. And as noted it's only 4 miles to evergreen and well situated to reaching many hiking trails around Jefferson county. We look forward to our next visit so we can explore more places in the area.

My husband and I had a great time at Elk Run B&B. John and Michelle are wonderful hosts and very flexible. Their place is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and close enough to many great adventures. We enjoyed the very clean room, family space and wonderful breakfasts. We also enjoyed the chats with John and Michelle and they are very knowledgeable of the area. We would highly recommend Elk Run and we would stay again if we return to Evergreen.

And we're only a short drive to Red Rocks Amphitheater and Bandimere Speedway as well as world class skiing, snowshoeing and rafting.
Made the mistake of booking here before thoroughly vetting this place. They immediately took $30 off my "refund" as "policy." Don't fall into their nickle and dime trap. Your money is best spent elsewhere.
