Room was okay but staff was beyond horrible. It appears only 3 people work there - 1 man and 2 women (one older, one younger). The man was fine however almost all of one's encounters are going to be with the two ladies who are extremely unpleasant to interact with. Our bike tour company put us here and I'm letting them know never do this again to anyone else. I would prefer to stay somewhere much farther off biking trail then deal with these two ladies again. The young one yelled at me for trying to ask a question and the older one almost pushed a disabled person out of the way while they were trying to enter the lobby door at the same time she was trying to exit. The looks they give you are the worst and they don't even attempt to hide them or their contempt for you. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. If your tour operator books you here ask for a switch. I almost called them that night to demand a switch to any other hotel in the vicinity.

Gasthof zur sonne was recommended to us as a wonderful place to eat with fantastic food and this was true. The meal was delicious and extremely fulfilling. Soup. salads and main courses were consumed with much delight. Unfortunately did not get a chance to stay in the gasthof.

Rooms were nice and Clean. Dinner was Great. The Hotel has two wings within the same Road. Breakfast is across the road in one of their other properties. The Breakfast Buffet had a variety and was sumptuous.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the midst of vineyards in a side valley above Enkirch. Although quite full with guests the atmosphere was tranquil, service excellent and dinner plentiful and well prepared. Best of all is the buffet breakfast with local cold cuts and wonderful homemade jams. There are nice corners where one can sit and talk, enjoy a bottle of wine, or plan the itinerary for next day's hike. The location is perfect for exploring the Moselle valley, with plenty of nature trails, spectacular vistas, and of course a very large number of vineyards that beckon to be visited.

What’s better at the end of the day than a nice place to relax, have a glass to toast with, and a good dinner? This is the place. While in an awkward location at the edge of town away from the main road, this is a great place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but you can sit outside under a covered veranda with a grapevine trellises and enjoy the evening along a little creek and adjacent forested hill. The menu provides many main staple German options although the vegetarian dishes are limited but yummy. The wine list offers numerous options from local vineyards that grace the surrounding hills in the area. I opted for a classic Asbach and coke and had to laugh when the waitress told me that this choice shows my age - apparently it’s not a common drink anymore though I think it’s still fabulous. Speaking of the waitress- she was great. You can’t go wrong with this one. Off the beaten path but a hidden gem.

we are coming over there for more than 25 years, and it is still a very good place to stay! they did a lot of renovations and it gives splendid results! it is also nice to stay there with children , they have place to play and it is a quiet and safe neighbourhood. we also recommend it, also the possibilities of wine discovery and taste!!!
