Hotel rundown poor hygiene standards
Reviewed By trd701Living with covid now for 2years you would think all accommodation providers would have lifted their housekeeping standards, not this hotel. First room we got had a double bed mad with a saturated mattress underneath, was lucky there was someone in reception who changed the room straight away with no questions asked to a spare room for circumstances just like this? It was like management are happy to rent a substandard room and swap it out if you complain. The rooms are lucky to have everything working, the lobby has the plark from the opening in the 1970's and the hotel looks to have received minimal up keep since then. Needs a good renervation with a higher housekeeping standards.

The room smelt of stale smoke,and over powering room deodoriser to try to mask the odours, had to sleep with the window open while the traffic noise was horrendous, including the night works until all hours. Ordered take away and unfortunately they didn't send any disposable cutlery, the only thing in the room to eat spaghetti was with a teaspoon. They scrimp on the milk for complimentary tea/coffee, it was a stretch to get 2 cups out of it. One plus was Netflix being available.

The Frewville Motor Inn, (Formerly the Princes Highway Motel) has undergone a renovation and the changes are dramatic. All 25 ground floor rooms have free car parking adjacent. Guest have a choice of Queen or King beds as well as spacious family rooms with kitchenette. Guests also have access to Free WIFI and guest Laundry. For a longer term stay a Studio Room may be more suitable with cooking facilities. The Motor Inn is ideally located a few minutes walk to the Frewville Foodland and is immediately adjacent quality dining including Singapore House, Hispanic Mechanic, Coccobello, The Arkaba Hotel, Parkside tavern and Pagoda Chinese Restaurant. McDonald 24 hours restaurant is a 150m walk . Bus stop 6, on Glen Osmond road, will take you to the Adelaide CBD in approximately 10 Minutes. Glenside Health Services and The South Australian Film Corporation are also within easy walking distance. So whether in Adelaide for Appointments, visiting family or on business, the Frewville Motor inn is perfectly located.

Rooms are particularly good, not luxurious but very clean, neat and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Have stayed there many times. Would advise booking early as others have found this little gem and quite often booked out. Which shows the quality of this motel. Not 5 star but everything we need for Adelaide accommodation.

Reviewed By Les RThis is the 4th time we've been here, this time the quality seems to have dropped under the new management, they are friendly, helpful people and prices are very cheap but the overall cleanliness of the place was not up to scratch and general maintenance is down a bit

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT- Jacksons Motor Inn is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT as of 01/12/16! We have almost completed our DEEP CLEAN through the entire property in the hope of raising our standard back to what it once was. We have rooms ranging from Economic Queen Rooms right through to Executive Family Spa Rooms and can cater to all occasions.The pool is open for business and the new BBQ area is getting lots of use. We look forward to welcoming our guests new and old to Jacksons Motor Inn.
It Does What It Says On The Packet
Reviewed By davidtamlynIts a 3 Star Motel. The pictures are honest and its what you get. After reading the reviews I was expecting a hell hole, but had no alternative to stay there because accommodation else where was booked out. But reception was friendly and helpful (Liverpool did win !!!) My room was just like the pictures. Went for the Spa room, the spa was the highlight didnt expect it to look so new, so great experience. Everything was clean, and just like you would expect. Its not the Hilton, but it never says it is, all i wanted was a good clean place to sleep and move on the next day and it provides it well. The question is would i stay again, yes I will.

Friendly, comfortable and affordable
Reviewed By Flip741I stayed for nearly two weeks while I was working in the city. Very convenient location close to restaurants, supermarkets etc without the CBD prices. Bus stops close by we’re very useful too. Manager Benn and his staff made sure I had all I needed without being intrusive. I had a 1 bedroom apartment with cooking facilities, seperate bedroom for the same price I’d pay for a single room so I reckon that’s excellent value. Yes the premises is old and dated but everything was certainly clean (and I’m fussy about that) and the important things are being updated. My apartment had new flooring and quality fittings. Sure it’s not all the latest decor but it’s not $250 a night either. Happy to add the wifi didn’t drop out at any time unlike more expensive places I’ve stayed. I read some of the bad reviews from 2016 but can only say my stay was excellent. I’m happy to stay again if the need arises and give my recommendation. Only negative is I wish I knew about the on-site laundry. Would have saved me a trip to the laundromat at the Arkaba shops.

Mismanagement
Reviewed By Stephen TIn Oct.2014 we paid $1,375 for a 2bedroom unit for 5nights for 22nd.to 27th Dec. This was for family arriving by air from interstate for the Christmas period. On the 22nd. We collected the key from City Motel and armed with hired cot,luggage and food supplies we arrived at the unit to find another family with 4 children had moved in the previous day. What ensued the next 5 hours was unbelievable, excuses,no apologies from the person who made the booking who said he was only a "worker". Eventually we were offered 2 alternatives,a substandard unit nearby and a 3bedroom unit ,noisy on the corner of 2 major roads and not near any facilities. We then demanded the unit we paid for which we eventually received after the other family was relocated. With other family arriving from overseas we did not need this stress and disappointment. Not recommended for poor Management. Cleanliness of unit rather poor. Dalia
