This was the second time we've stayed here. Sylvia Seiler is a gracious host and the comfortable.hotel is quiet and each room is unique, charmingly furnished. The location immediately adjacent to Campocologno Station is very convenient for traveling to see all the local attractions. And don't worry double glazed windows are the norm all over Switzerland and cut any noise and the trains keep very civilised hours! The tiny village of Campoclogna, literally a stone's throw from Italian border, is the last stop in Switzerland of the famous and spectacular Bernina Express railway. This trip down the Poschiavo valley is the best two-hours of train travel I've ever experienced. And the stay with Sylvia Seiler is a perfect place to relax afterwards. It would suit romantic couples as well as companionable mature travelers and even train enthusiasts as much as it suited us.

Ottimi appartamenti. Proprietari gentili e disponibili.

Traditional mountain guesthouse in the middle of nature, surrounded by meadows, pastures and forests with a unique view of the Bernina mountain range and down to Valtellina valley. At our place on 1'800 meters above sea level you'll find an informal atmosphere in a fantastic landscape between culture, history and environment. Enjoy the warmth of the sun rays until the evening comes and get new energy in this endless silence. San Romerio is an ideal starting point for mountain hikes or excursions through valleys and to other mountain huts. For your well-being and for a good sleep, our Rifugio was especially built of natural building materials such as wood or rock only. We will be happy to welcome you, spending a few nights in one of our guest rooms or dormitory beds. All rooms are non-smoking rooms with a wooden floor. Modern bathroom facilities with running hot water as well as shower and WC are to be shared. Our Ristoro offers local specialties, such as the delicious alpine herdsman‘s polenta. Generous sun terrace and swing.
From the moment we arrived, Gino and his staff made us feel very welcome. The main dinner on offer had meat however we are vegetarian and despite this Gino went out of his way to prepare us a delicious vegetarian three course dinner that utilised local products (salad and vegetables from the garden, chanterelles mushrooms, local cheeses) and spätzli served with San Romerio's own wine. The lady serving the food would keep asking us if we would like more of the food or bread or cheese and it really made you feel at home.

After a gruelling long day of travel up from Milan to catch the Bernina Express, we checked into our hotel and asked for a restaurant recommendation. Coltiviamo Sogni has got to be a truly hidden gem in this remote (for us from Perth, WA!!) part of the world. Our hosts led us upstairs to a well-appointed restaurant and despite ordering just mains, were offered a complimentary glass of champagne to start and 2 carafes truly unique and refreshing fruit juice. Also complimentary were entrees of arancini and cured meats. We ordered 2 pastas which were rich in flavour, and a fresh prawn seafood & rice in a mixture of saffron sauce - all DIVINE!! The reds which accompanied our meal rounded it all off. Dessert was also superbly presented and with a coffee to finish off, nothing short of a 10/10 meal. Highly recommended.

Posto semplice molto carino, accogliente e confortevole.

L’atmosfera accogliente e familiare farà subito sentire l’ospite a casa propria.
Our group has enjoyed a very delicious dinner at Agriturismo Miravalle and we have very much appreciated our time there. The traditional food we were served was very delicious and we loved the friendly service and amazing views from the property. Very recommendable!

Close to the Brusio train station, the Osteria is bar and restaurant and a perfect spot to regain some energy after walking down to the famous viaduct and back. They have a nice selection of local wines and one can even buy souvenirs here. The house is quite old and it’s nice to enjoy the historical feel of it.

Poco onesti!
