Our Hotel lies directly behind the Dunes at Croyde Bay, Hotel Rooms and Self Catering Cottage accommodation just a stones throw from the beach
We have just returned from a weekend break in a 3 bedroom dog friendly lodge and had a fabulous time. Check in was quick and easy. The lodge was to a very high standard and extremely well equipped , washing machine, dishwasher , fridge and freezer , full cooker and electric hob , it was very well presented and cleaned to a very high standard. The complimentary arrival pack for humans and dogs was a nice touch. We had wifi access , two tv's with free view, one ensuite showroom and a family bathroom , both equipped with toiletries. Towels were white and fluffy & all bed linen was white and clean. There was a spacious enclosed raised decking area with outside furniture. Alongside the lodge was a private garden area fully enclosed with a picket fence which was at a good height to keep dogs our dogs in (boxer dog and bulldog). All staff were very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. 2 x small dog throws ware provided to cover the settees. My husband and son made use of all facilities , we also ordered food one evening and I have to say the pizza was the nicest I have ever eaten. Only slight negative is that the lodges are overlooking each other , but there are blinds and curtains on all windows . At this time of the year dogs are not allowed on the beach (only on the dunes) , Croyde beach is very large and it is disappointing that it does not have a separate area for dogs. We took the dogs to Saunton Sands where dogs are allowed off lead and Woolacombe which has a separate area for dogs , but they need to be kept on the lead. We are looking forward to booking again circa October time.

There is something truly special about the Saunton Sands Hotel. Set above Saunton's stunning three mile beach overlooking the natural wonder of the Braunton Burrows World Heritage Site, the Hotel's magnificent location gives us one of the most dramatic coastal views in the South West. There is far more to staying at Saunton Sands Hotel than what's outside. Inside you'll find first class accommodation and facilities, fantastic food and a quality of service you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else.Whether your stay if for a winter break with a difference, summer holiday for all your family or a business trip we'll do everything we can to make your stay as memorable as the view. We look forward to welcoming you.
**I can't comment on the hotel itself, as I have to admit that we haven't stayed there** However, after a visit to the Beachside Grill restaurant, I accidentally left my phone then drove home to Dorset, 3 hours away. When we realised and called the restaurant they were so helpful and liased with the Saunton Sands Hotel (as the restaurant wasn't open on the next working day) to post my phone back to me (first class signed for), and wouldn't even take any money for postage. The customer relations team at the hotel were so friendly and helpful.

New, luxury lodges for 2 adults set in 7 acres of land. Contemporary, architectural design with cedar cladding, zinc roofs, floor to ceiling aluminium windows and hardwood decking. Free wifi. One bedroom with king size bed with views of the meadows. The lounge area, with a modern 2 person sofa, leads out through the french doors to the deck with views of the meadow and newly planted orchard. There is a Freeview TV, free wifi, kitchenette and tall dining table with bar chairs in the lounge. Next to the lounge is a modern bathroom with marble tiles, walk in shower, heated towel rail and mirror with de-mister. Outside is a hardwood decking area with outdoor dining for 2 and private grass areas. Plenty of space to keep the surf boards or bikes and outside tap for hosing down. BBQ available. Car parking space for one vehicle. Second car by arrangement. All bed linen is provided as well as two bath towels and hand towel per person. Midweek linen change available for an additional fee. The properties face south and have a lovely sunny aspect with shade sails to keep you cool in the summer. They are highly insulated but on the rare event you need the heating there is underfloor heating throughout. The thoughtfully equipped kitchenette enables you to make breakfast and light meals and gives that bit more freedom than a hotel room or B&B. Cleaning materials and cloths provided. The corner shop and off-licence is just 10 minutes walk away, for basic groceries and newspapers and there are local farm eggs over the road. This is one of three, cedar clad, architectural lodges set in a hay meadow and orchard adjacent to Pete Caswell's Art Studio and Gallery. The lodge is decorated with Pete's original art work and you are welcome to visit the gallery. Full of life and colour, sea breezes and sea light fill the air. This is a peaceful and beautiful setting near the outskirts of Braunton village in Braunton, North Devon; it is a 20 minute walk into the village and the local pubs and restaurants. Location on the Saunton side of Braunton near the beach. 3/4 mile level walk in Braunton. 2 miles to Saunton beach. 3.3 miles to Croyde beach. 1.4 miles to Tarka trail.
We stayed in these lodges in August they are finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean with so many thoughtful touches- a pleasure to walk into.We had a week of beautiful weather and were able to visit many of the beautiful nearby beaches.Pete and Julie are lovely hosts unobtrusive but always available if needed. We would thoroughly recommend these lodges and will visit again thanks for a great stay.

Bridge Farm Bed And Breakfast /The Orchard Campsite Croyde Village .lovely thatched traditional guesthouse in the heart of croyde village .Bridge Farm also has a little campsite tucked away in the orchard behind it which is open all year round .Both businesses have been run by the same family for almost a century
Excellent accommodation old fashioned in a good way as clean relaxed and simply lovely with excellent breakfast. If you want straight walls, plastic furniture, sky tv, and basic food go to premier inn in Exeter. It maybe noisy at night as so central and maybe noisy in the morning as all the delivery lorries arrive early to avoid the traffic on the narrow roads. Easy walk to the beach. Croyde is not a dog friendly place unless your dog likes walking on a lead on the pavement. but can't blame the accommodation for that.

All of the previous reviews saying that the owners are rude, ignorant and unhelpful are spot-on. I have stayed at this B & B several times over the years with friends in my younger, surfing days and just about tolerated them as it was cheap and within staggering distance to the pub. This years visit to Croyde was far more upmarket than this basic offering (I will submit a separate review) but my husband and I visited Chapel Farm on business. Both owners were extremely rude to us on two separate occasions. They obviously hate the fact that they cant sell the business and have to keep going as it's been up for sale for years. Why folks with zero people-skills would want to be in the hospitality industry is beyond me. Never again!

This property is now a holiday cottage for rent. Although our large party of 6 adults and 6 children enjoyed the holiday we felt there were a few touches that could have given us an overall better experience. The house is obviously lived in for part of the year as it was littered with personal items of toys, clothing, shoes, etc and most off-putting was the array of personal photographs adorning the rooms. 2 of the bedrooms were obviously dedicated to the Owners children with name plates on the doors. This made us feel very uncomfortable as if we were invading someone else's space. The cleaning company could have done a much better job as there were numerous cobwebs and clutter under the beds - it seems they only surface clean. The mattress in the main bedroom was a "sinkhole" and impossible to get a good nights sleep whilst sinking into the mattress - very uncomfortable. We paid extra for the hot tub, but it was very small and not all 6 children could enjoy it at the same time. The promise of a trampoline for the children was not forthcoming as there was not one. The outdoor patio was extremely dirty and it was difficult not to carry muck into the house. The house is huge and if you are looking to house a large party then this place is ideal. There were 4 living rooms and we only used 2 of them. The spacious kitchen/diner come living area is great for socialising.

This is a little gem in Georgeham on the lower end of budget. Very well located with easy walking distance to all amenities in Georgeham. The breakfast is a self serve continental breakfast of cereal, fruit yoghurt & toast. The host Jane makes a yoghurt mix of honey, yoghurt, berries & muesli for each guest each morning & it's waiting for you in the fridge. I like that this is a small private house, with only 2 rooms rented to the public. The en suite room is very nice, and perfect for a few nights getaway. A little gem in Georgeham. If you are after a full english for breakfast this is perhaps not the place for you, but if you're happy with a light continental breakfast...well then it's up to you.
