The experience of seeing the "Statue of Unity" impressed upon me the size of the attraction is not important. It is the meaning that counts! Although comparable to the "Little Mermaid" in Copenhagen, Denmark in size, the fact that the "Statue of Unity" depicts unity between the citizens of Walker, Minnesota and their neighboring native nation - the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe - that is what is important!

I have been coming in here in the summer for 26 years. If you cannot find a deal here, you are not in to it. They have deals on clothing, shoes, outerwear, Yeti’s, rice, hunting, fishing, camping, everything outdoors. There are plenty of associates that are well educated in each department. You cannot go wrong with a stop at Reeds. They are in to it!!!!!

After hiking many trails and walking dirt roads, we decided on a different venue for our evening walk with our dog. What a surprise Walker City Park was to us! A large playground, swimming beach, tennis courts, picnic tables, and even a lighthouse with a table inside accompanied sweeping views of Walker Bay, Leech Lake.
