Tenterden is a town with a large conservation area in the Ashford District of Kent, England. It stands on the edge of the remnant forest The Weald, overlooking the valley of the River Rother. It was a member of the Cinque Ports Confederation. Its riverside today is not navigable to large vessels and its status as a wool manufacturing centre has been lost. Tenterden has several voluntary organisations, some of which are listed below, seven large or very old public houses within its area and has long distance walking and cycling routes within its boundaries.

A large group of us made a pre-advised visit and were efficiently handled with several real ales available that we had specifically requested. A wide selection of real ales were all served on gravity dispense from jacket cooled casks visible behind the bar counter. With a large hot buffet to consume too our visit was over too soon.

A very attractive small market town with plenty of independent shops and small cafes. A beautiful High Street with a lovely tree lined avenue and greens, and an abundance of historic buildings to gaze at including a fabulous 11th century church. Grab a ride on one of the steam trains from Tenterden Town Station and take in the lovely views of the unspoilt surrounding countryside as the train trundles down the track. The title "Tenterden, the Jewel of the Weald" is richly deserved. Free car parking in Bridewell Lane car park every Sunday and on Bank Holidays
Beautiful little town with nice shops, restaurants, easy parking and a fantastic steam railway. Highly recommended

Nice, well kept church.Like to come here with children to light up candles.Nice children corner and loads going on there especially Christmas time. The other day they had very wonderful flower display-gorgeous ,unlike in other places(two flowers thrown in no order or sense of colour) Church has reach history, always open, pathway with nice flowers and additional plus-always bowl of water for the dogs out of the church gates. Definitely worth visiting and stopping for prayer or quiet reflection.

Positioned inside a beautiful little barn in collaboration with The Flower Craft Workshop. Just off the High Street in between MK Nails and behind Tenterden Interiors. Well worth a little trip up that end of the Town. A hidden Gem!

Been coming for some time now and the staff have upgraded and are bloody wonderful. Same can’t be said about the toilets. Regularly been served by a polite young boy called Nancy. Bar man with the receding hairline (Charlene) has also been very pleasant and happy to help. Couple of staff members are a bit odd but it’s a quirky place and just love being in there. Food is banging although the burger relish isn’t what it used to be but a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Bar workers who I think are called Alfina and Molly always uphold high levels of politeness and are happy to do whatever is asked and nothing seems to much. Food overall good and beer selections are ideal. Landlord George is a good crack and remains professional and engages in conversations with public and can’t be faulted. Games selections are dead and could do with a fruity. A stand alone chess table would be perfect to finish it off however the over blinged Xmas tree prevents a safe place to play. Could do with a cocktail list of actual cocktails to liven up my lips on a Saturday however this isn’t an option. Overall great staff, nice building and will be great when the barn is open for dutty whining.

The Vine is a gorgeous & obviously popular, fabulously decorated pub-it had a lovely welcoming feel as we walked in, with beautiful attentive table service which was quick & efficient. We weren’t there for a meal, but we couldn’t resist the nachos & I’m really glad we didn’t. Heavenly.
