Explore the historic Mabry Mill, located on the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. Experience live milling demonstrations, as this gristmill still grinds flour more than a century since its original construction. See the nearby Matthews Cabin, blacksmith shop and interpretive area. National Park Service staff conducts demonstrations on blacksmithing, carding, spinning and basket making. On Sundays throughout the summer, local folk and mountain music performers appear live here. Then visit the Mabry Mill Restaurant & Gift Shop and enjoy a country-style menu. Breakfast is served all day. Lunch and dinner entrees also are featured. Our gift shop features Virginia crafts and foods, as well as a selection of Mabry Mill and Blue Ridge Parkway-inspired clothing, books, music and souvenirs.
Mabry Mills is a very special place that reflects on the past and is so peaceful and calming. It was great to visit once again.

Definitely stop here where you will find a VERY LARGE VARIETY of excellent candies! Their large assortment of candies are made at this location, which also serves as the location for shipping throughout the world. There is also an assortment of SUGAR FREE candies! They will offer samples to try. The staff are very friendly & helpful. We also found some sale priced items. The location is along the Blue Ridge Parkway at the junction with Hwy 58. If you have time plan to stop at the nearby, MABRY MILL. This is a fully restored Grist Mill in a scenic park area that often has active demonstrations.

Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway (not far from Mabry Mill), this market is well stocked with everything from postcards to books of local interest to cast iron cookware to hoop cheese. Among my purchases was the wonderful book The Man Who Moved a Mountain. It's a great place to purchase produce, country ham, and cheese. Plan on being there a while...lots to see!
