The fort is situted in Bidar district, Karnataka. A favourite tourist spot in the state, Sultan Alla-Ud Din Bahman shifted his capital from Gulbarga to Bidar in 15th century, built his fort. The fort is stread over a huge area and it takes about 2-3 hours to roam around.
