Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

I had the best of times with Erik and Riccardo tasting wines, and later, also sharing dinner! Not only did I learn lots about wine tasting, but I also got an incredibly informative tour on our way from the different wine tasting spots (going from Piazza Farnese via Campo de´Fiori to Trastevere). Both Erik and Riccardo are friendly and I felt incredibly comfortable in their company. I also felt that the tour was catered to my level of knowledge and wishes. Both are knowledgable about their subject matters indeed, but they are good accommodating the knowledge of then crowd they are speaking to as well! Would highly recommend taking a tour with Erik, and Riccardo if it is wine tasting you're interested in, as my experience doing so was simply excellent! Thanks a ton for making my Saturday night a blast!

First steps up to the top of Michelangelo's dome begin on the marble paving stones of St. Peter's Square. There are 551 steps in total so we take the elevator part way which cuts the count to an easier 380. We take our time and enjoy plenty of staircase breaks! Post-dome and the remarkable views therefrom, rest awhile before entering St. Peter's Basilica, where Bernini's sculptures and Michelangelo's art rise above Holy Papal tombs and the perceived necropolis of St. Peter himself. After a morning of walking and climbing, be sure to bring your appetite for a food tour like no other! 10 Tastings is indeed BIG. You won't find a more fun or satisfying food experience when in Rome!

A lovely lady called Gulia took my husband and I on a walk round Rome sampling food and drink from various shops and a superb pasta lunch. If you are going todo this tour I advise you not to eat much beforehand as we finished the tour around 2:00pm and did not eat another thing all day. We had meats and cheese with some wine to start off with and then followed this in a picturesque market square with tasting various oils and vinegars. Roman Pizza and beer were next, followed by a delicious lunch of two different types of pasta. Then followed dessert of either cannoli or tirimisu at another stop off point, ice cream and coffee to finish. Never felt so full. Guila was full of interesting conversation about her city. All in all a great day out ending at the Trevi fountain.
