The 8 Best Ferries in Singapore, Singapore

August 6, 2021 Deane Carmody

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

With bare minimum of where should I go, Mr Rain ( sorry if I spelled wrongly ) patiently explained and suggested that we visited the Sister’s island (cause it’s small) before hopping to St John’s island and walk to Lazarus island. He kept reminding us to look at the time so that we don’t miss out the ferry’s timing and spent less of the fun! I would definitely say that, spent more time at Lazarus island! It’s definitely a great island with great views and worth to head to! I spent a total of 4 hours on both bigger islands. The best prize of the day was that, I got the nearest encounter seeing a wild otter ???? rather than in the zoo ???? Upon reaching the main island, I was taking a photo of their company with my wet tickets, a gentleman and a lady greeted me ( ops, I forgotten to ask their name ) and checked on my well being and how’s the day for me. Nevertheless to say, I was definitely happy to tell them that I will have a second trip ! Last but not least, you guys did a great job ???????? and may your business prosperous even more! ????

Singapore River Cruise

Cruising since 1987. For more than a decade and a half, bumboats have been plying the Singapore River. The story of Singapore River Cruise begins in 1987. The "Clean Rivers Campaign" of 1983 saw the relocation of bumboats to Pasir Panjang. The familiar painted faces of our Bumboats were due to disappear from its home, until SRC was awarded the tender license to run river services here - the first also, to operate such services along the river. We are entering a new chapter in the Singapore River story. In this modern age, Bumboats on this historic waterway remind us of its rustic charm. SRC has been preserving the heritage of this important river for more than two decades. Its bumboats have become the icon of our river to visitors and locals alike. 2008 was a year when our iconic bumboats underwent a transformation. The diesel-powered engines of SRC's fleet made way for a new generation of electric ones that boast quieter engines and zero CO2 emissions. These are the very boats that operate along the Singapore River today. SRC is committed to greater excellence. Under its strong management, the company has developed a firm network of channel intermediaries from government agencies, embassies, event organizers and other operators in the tourism sector, both local and overseas. From a humble fleet of 4 bumboats in 1987, SRC has since increased its number to 24 today with a few new additions coming onboard soon.

Been to batam the fist time and decided to try Horizon Ferry after recomendation from friends. The ferry was clean and new. Whats good is also the priority queue service they offer for business class. Cut our clearance time by alot. They also offer cheap wifi rental and car service per day. Very convienent to settle everything at one shot. Driver can speak english and knows batam inside out. Advise to book tickets online during holiday season since it is quite crowded.
