A very nice person, who will tell you about the history off Dalkey island... and more :-) For 8.00€ he will bring you to the little island and will come and get you when you are ready. Just go and stand on the concrete stairs, enjoy the seals and wave at him ;-)

The Old Liffey Ferry - Over 350 years of Community Service The Old Liffey Ferry·Sunday, 21 July 2019 The Ferry service was first granted a charter in 1665 by King Charles II, (although there had been a ferry dating back at least to the 1400's), and it was eventually discontinued in 1984 with the opening of the then new East Link toll bridge (Tom Clarke Bridge). The Old Liffey Ferry service will run between the Cill Airne and Sir John Rogerson's Quay and The Point Depot (3Arena) pontoons, Monday to Friday, at the following times: 08.00am – 10.00am 12.00noon – 02.00pm 04.00pm – 06.30pm The Irish Nautical Trust, along with The Dublin Port Company and Dublin City Council, are proud to bring the return of The Old Liffey Ferry Service to Dublin's Docklands.

Carlingford Lough Car Ferry connects the dramatic Cooley Peninsula with the majestic Mourne Mountains and offers a unique opportunity to experience stunning panoramic mountain range views from the upper viewing decks of our Ferry. The service departs from GREENORE, Co. Louth (just 10km from Carlingford town) and GREENCASTLE, Co. Down, and the sailing takes approximately 20 mins. While onboard, keep an eye out for Finn the resident dolphin! Discover the Lough of myths & legends, surrounded by epic scenery and shrouded in mystery onboard the Carlingford Lough Ferry. Or take the ferry and enjoy a picturesque drive around Carlingford Lough and back to your destination. This drive takes approximately 50 minutes. Weekend sailings during winter season with full daily service during the summer months. Tickets can be booked online through our website (with a 10% discount) or at the Tourist information centre in Carlingford.
We used the ferry service as part of a charity cycle in support of the NI air ambulance. I found the service to be efficient, friendly ànd good value. In particular I want to thank Eamon who works in the small shop at the Greenore side. He donated a framed picture to the charity. As of August there are 2 ferries running(not sure if this is permanent) they leave every 30 mins. The crossing time is only 15 mins or so between Greenore in county louth and Greencastle in county Down. Tickets can be pre-booked online for less than paying on the ferry itself. Also multiple tickets/trips can be purchased for a much greater discount. Unlike the Strangford ferry this route is not subsidised by either government and i suppose the cost of tickets are a reflection on the realities of running a private ferry service.

Island Ferries is Howth's premier ferry company, offering tours and cruises around Ireland's Eye and Howth Cliffs. islandferries.net howthcliffcruises.ie
From start to finish my 6 year old daughter and I had an amazing time. Really friendly staff, lovely boat and amazing weather made it a perfect trip on a day in Howth. The Captain spoke over a microphone to tell passenger about the wildlife and history of Ireland's Eye Island. It was that enjoyable that my daughter wanted to keep cruising around the island.

This was the first time I had travelled on a large ferry and I found the experience great. The sea was very calm the day I travelled so no sea sickness. The staff onboard were really wonderful and very helpful. You just sit back and relax with a drink or something to eat as this can be bought onboard the ferry.

Irish Ferries, Ireland's Leading Ferry Company. Offering up to 16 daily fast ferry and cruise ferry sailings to Britain & Ireland and France. Also package holidays to Ireland and Britain.
We booked our family holiday to France traveling from Dublin to Cherbourg on the WB Yeats in August/ September. As the WB Yeats is a new ship we were very much looking forward to the experience. Having read a number of negative reviews of the ship on TripAdvisor we began to get a bit anxious in advance but we shouldn’t have been. Please don’t let the negative reviews put you off traveling on WB Yeats! Our experience in August/ September 2019 was great. Loading and unloading on both legs was quick and efficient thanks to the ship’s two tier loading system. The spacing between the cars was the best We have ever seen on a ferry. The colour coded stairs (blue, purple, grey and black/ club class) work well for finding your way back and also situating yourself. All cabins were very modern, clean and comfortable with adequate space (the beds and pillows were amazing are much better than those on comparable services to France). The deluxe/ premium cabins are exceptional and come will a fully stocked minibar, Rituals products, free movies, series and podcasts and access to the stylish club class lounge with complementary snacks and great sea views over the bow. Had dinner in the Lady Gregory restaurant on both legs (and breakfast too as it was included in the cabin price). The decor in the restaurant is very sophisticated and you can have a window table to admire the sea as you enjoy your meal. The restaurant team were very professional and provided great service. While there were a more limited number of starters, mains and desserts, the menus, quality and presentation of food was excellent and a step up from the previous Oscar Wilde ferry. As people have noted in other reviews the price has increased compared with last year. It should be noted though that the quality of the offering is also much better and comparable to good restaurants in Dublin. And Irish Ferries are listing to the feedback. They now offer an early bird 3 course for €50 or you can have a 2 course for €50 later in the evening. Wine prices are reasonable too. As for the interior and general layout, the ship is designed to be more open plan and capture natural light with lots of windows. The use of grey gives the ship a modern fresh feel (don’t see why people are complaining so much about this). The main bar was pleasant with a good crowd gathered there and great views over the bow. There was entertainment (a music duo) in high season. There was also a good selection of beers and a nice gin menu.
