San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

Cool place to shop for fresh seafood. The market, which features seafood caught by local fishing boats, is located on the dock behind Seaport Village. This place is seafood lovers’ favorite place to get fresh seafoods. It only opens on Saturday at 8 am. The line was very long by the time we got there by 9am this week. We peeked to see what kind of seafoods they have. It looked like the market has several stalls that were offering varieties of seafood choices. Some stalls sell lobsters and prawns while others offer sea urchin and crabs. They have the seafood for all tastes. For people who prefer cooked seafood, there was another line for cooked seafoods. We didn’t have a chance to check out this line as we ran out of time. Next time we should come a bit earlier to avoid the two hour wait.

Liberty Public Market is a 7-day a week Public Market and event venue offering the best of what the San Diego region has to offer. Showcasing a rustic environment with prepared foods, beer, wine, specialty cocktails, produce, fish, desserts and pastries, pastas, arts and crafts, a test kitchen, pop up dinners, and educational driven events.
You can almost touch the planes taking off and landing. 10 minutes from the airport. It offers history of a local military base somewhat closed and turned into a beautiful market place. Spin classes outside, trails, candy stores, food, notions and a 50’s diner. It is delightful and plenty of parking. Lots of grassy knolls for the kids and dogs to run around. It is perfection.

If you are visiting Little Italy in San Diego, be sure to time your visit for the Saturday’s farmers market. There were so many vendors with a variety of gifts to bring home and the best produce and fruits to snack on during your trip. We had so much fun. The food was amazing and the people very friendly. One of my favorite markets
