So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

El Corte Ingles is everybody's favourite department store in Spain with traditional and more upmarket goods and always great eateries.

The Irish chain store has enjoyed quite a bit of popularity in Madrid, where crowds come seeking great bargains. With five levels, this location is one of the chain's largest in the world.
We were walking around the city and happened to find Primark Gran Via along the way. 5 floors of it too! Lifts/elevators are a bit slow so I'd recommend moving to each level via escalators or stairs. Be prepared for huge crowds and a lot of good deals. So if you find something you like, dont think twice. Take it and go! All in all a great place to shop to your heart's content. Go for it!
