Jūrmala (Latvian pronunciation: [juːrmala] ( listen) "seaside") is a city in Latvia, about 25 kilometres (16 miles) west of Riga. Jūrmala is a resort town stretching 32 km (20 miles) and sandwiched between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River. It has a 33 km (21 miles) stretch of white-sand beach, and a population of 56,646, making it the fifth largest city in Latvia.

You might feel sleepy at the start, but after a coffee/tea and that fresh crispy morning air - you'll be fully awake and happy! You will be picked up from your accommodation ~1,5 hour before the sunrise time. We'll take care of coffee/tea for you and also some fresh pastries so you can have that perfect start of the day! After the bog, we'll drive through beautiful Jurmala with a stop at the beach (you can also go for a swim in the summertime) and an optional stop at the viewing tower in Dzintari forest park! Let's chase the sunrise, let's wake up together with nature! Whether it is a sunny day or clouds are covering the sky - it will be beautiful. We promise!

We did a tour with Krista and Amber Tours to Rundale Palace in Latvia and the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania. Krista was an amazing guide who provided us with a lot of information and perspective on living in Riga. The drive seemed to fly by as we talked non-stop with Krista and learned a lot of about her culture and life in Latvia.

We had a great tour around cesis, sigulda and turaida. Aldis was amazing! He was informative and was very enthusiastic until the end of the trip. He was sweet and sees to it that we were comfortable.. Knows a lot of local places to try and tajes, a lot of pictures, too! I recommend this hassle free day trip.. ????????

Take a day off on your trip from the busy city Riga. In this day tour you will have two main stops. One would be at Kemeri National park. This would be a hike on Bog Boardwalk. The next stop would be in Jurmala, this is a resort town. You will enjoy your walk through the main walking street Joma street with many small local shops as well as walk by the sea. You can also choose the option with guide and enjoy the guided tour in Jurmala. Private tour is limited to a maximum of 8 people or 7 people if option with guide is chosen.

We contacted this company to see if they could provide us with an English speaking driver to take us from Riga to Liepaja for the day to visit the area my husbands father came from. They were more than happy to do this and we were taken to several places of interest including some free time in Liepaja town for lunch. Our driver was punctual, the ride was comfortable and he made sure we had a rest stop, the journey was about 3 hours each way! Despite the heavy rain we were lucky enough to have dry weather while we were there. A great day and I would recommend this company if you need a car during your stay.

We went with Riga Tours (Ingrida) to Lignate. Comfortable ride and nice, knowledgeable guide. We visited a Soviet Bunker with many original details well-kept. We also went on a 6 km walk in the national park by the Gauja river. Scenic and a nice opportunity to experience nature in the Baltics.

Warm, friendly, even thrilled to show us Riga and to explain us a lot of very interesting stories and anecdotes. Four and half hours passed in a while.
