Quebec City may be the only fortified city north of Mexico, but it welcomes visitors with open arms. Explore the Citadel, where you might catch Canadian troops staging a military ceremony. As for food, you could splurge on afternoon tea at the Chateau Frontenac, or do as the locals do and snack on poutine—french fries with gravy and cheese curds.

Right in the heart of historic Quebec City, this magnificent theatre has hosted nearly a century's worth of the greatest in arts and entertainment. Once used mostly for cultural events, it has evolved into much more than a concert hall. Since its reopening in 1992, this prestigious and storied hall amazes both its renowned performers and their audience. Le Théâtre Capitole is a unique and magical place. Majestic stairway, gilded trim, luxurious railings, it is filled with memories of a bygone era.

The Theatre Petit Champlain has been a part of Quebec’s cultural landscape for many years. Since it’s opening in the XIX century, the Theatre Petit Champlain hosts mostly theater productions. Later on, in 1994, the Theater became the first Maison de la Chanson and started to welcome a lot of local musical artists. Lately, we added more diversity to our upcoming events ; we also welcome stand-up comics!

We ate lunch here one day in mid October, 2018 while touring the town. We opted to eat in the downstairs part of the Pub as the eating area was larger and quieter. We had a fantastic pizza and Irish beer. We could have been back in Ireland.....except everyone was speaking French or English with a French accent! It was a perfect stop on a cool day and we look forward to visiting again if we ever return to Quebec City!
