One of Newport's most popular beaches.
Love this beach. The sand is soft and clean and the beach is usually not as crowded as some of the other beaches in the area. The rest rooms are clean. The parking price is reasonable and you can usually get a spot even if you get there after lunch.

Calm waters and a wide sandy area make this a favorite spot for families with children.
I went on a week day in September and was practically alone, which is what I wanted. No trouble social distancing. Water is calm and a tad coolish but nice. I was able to take my top off which is always a plus. Saw no facilities except portable toilets. Make sure you bring your fluids and food if you want it.

Sweet Berry Farm is a post-and-beam farm market and café situated on 100 acres of conserved farmland. We are located only a short distance from downtown Newport and the island's beaches. From our market we sell our own freshly grown seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, as well as a variety of gourmet and specialty foods. The pick-your-own season spans from June through December. Our barn and orchard offer two picturesque settings for your wedding or special event.
Sweet Berry Farm is not just for Berries. But yes, there are berries, beautiful varieties of berries to pick on your own, or buy ready-picked. But there are also apples and pumpkins in season. And there's a wonderful farm store, with produce, local crafts, excellent quality meals to eat in or take home. And it's a lovely place just to sit, sip an iced tea, and enjoy the surroundings.

Off the beaten path but do make an effort to find it. Small parking lot and a short walk to some of the best views in the area, Split rock with ocean going through-cross the small bridge for the view.
