We used Costa Rica Trip Guide three times during our stay and were very, very impressed. We got a private transfer from SJO airport to Monteverde, a shared shuttle service from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio, and then another private transfer from Manuel Antonio back to SJO. In every case the service was impeccable - we couldn't have asked for better. Gerardo, our driver for our airport transfers, was a legend. He got us to Monteverde earlier than we expected, was happy to help me practise some Spanish with him, and helped me do some last minute bird watching on our return to the airport (we arrived in SJO after dark so our first journey was birdless). Honestly couldn't have been happier. For our trip to Manuel Antonio our driver (being terrible at names at the best of times I'm sorry to say I can't remember his - sorry bud!) was similarly brilliant. It was a smooth and comfortable drive, I was able to practise some more Spanish, and he was dead on time both picking us up and dropping us at our hotel. Another absolute gent. As great as our drivers were - and they were truly great - what really impressed me was the customer service. Our flight was delayed significantly getting into SJO, I made an error booking our shared shuttle service, and we needed some help choosing the best time to book our journey back to SJO. In every case, I contacted Francinne by email and she was just the best. She reminded me they were keeping an eye on our flight time and would be anticipating our new expected arrival time. She emailed me back within 6 minutes to correct the date of our shared shuttle! And she helped amend our journey back time by an hour (we had overestimated the time it would take to get to the airport again). I can't thank you enough, Francinne. This was my first time in Costa Rica and Costa Rica Trip Guide made our travel within the country a breeze. I only booked our trip from SJO airport to Monteverde with them in advance, thinking I might use another service for our other trips so it would be better to remain flexible while we were in CR. After our first trip went so smoothly, we didn't look at anyone else. Next time I'm going to CR, I'll be booking all my trips with Costa Rica Trip Guide before I leave. Thanks very much guys!

I was looking for a tour that was just for the coffee tour with nothing else as I only had a few hours. We picked the one that included lunch and transportation to and from our hotel. This tour was perfect. Picked up at 10:25 am and returned at 2. When you arrive you’ll notice the lush landscape. The weather was perfect, very cool with a nice breeze. The tour started by giving a history of coffee and what year it made its way to Costa Rica, then you learn how it is grown, moving on you go thru the lovely grounds and learn about the harvesting and drying of the coffee beans. Very well done. Tasting of the coffee is done several times within the tour. You get to see where it is roasted and packaged although you can’t actually go into the processing plant. There’s a short video of the tasting by the baristas to know when the beans are perfect and the coffee is brewed in a press and 2 volunteers get to taste and “slurp” the coffee. The tour concluded with a trip in the gift shop and lunch since we chose that option. Lunch was delicious with a very fresh salad, nice cold beverage, lentil soup, rice and beans, mixed vegetable, green plantain dish, chicken or pork ribs and desert of a rice pudding. If you get a chance take this tour, you will not be disappointed.

Istudied at the Samara location of this school and loved everything about it - the teachers, other students, Tica family and of course, the beach.
