Delightful family run B&B. You felt like staying in someone's home, very comfortable, with the little things like LOTS of places to recharge all our phones etc. As good a breakfast as I have had. Quiet!! The lodge is an easy 10 minute walk from town and restaurants etc. Our bus driver from Galway dropped us off at the lodge. It is up hill if coming from town with luggage, so check with owners if you need a pickup in town. LOVED this place.

Yeah what can I say a B&B with no breakfast which certainty leaves paying a premium price for a room ! Fantastic location just on the outskirts of the town within very easy walking distance to town centre. Room was specious and clean. Plenty of parking facilities.

This is a lovely guesthouse that is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is right near clifden town, but yet is surprisingly quiet. The breakfast is really tasty and is of top quality, with lots of selection. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Thanks :)

In a quiet location with beautiful views of surrounding Connemara and the sea, the 4-star Sharamore House is just 5 minutes’ drive from Clifden. Fish caught from the Sharamore's own boat is served at breakfast.Full Irish breakfasts are served each day, and the breakfast menu includes homemade pancakes with fresh fruit, smoked salmon, and Irish cheese. A log burning range and wide-screen satellite TV feature in the lounge area.Maps detailing the numerous nearby scenic walks are available, and guests can enjoy pony trekking within a 5-minute drive of Sharamore House. Roundstone beach can also be reached in 20 minutes by car, and Connemara National Park is a 10-minute drive.
Unfortunately was only able to stay 1 night in Sharmore. Could not fault it. From check in with Sue, quality of room, location and the breakfast. Will make a point of coming back. Can’t recommend enough that you pay a visit

Stayed 2 nights in Room 10 which was quite clearly a single room with a double bed squeezed into it which meant there was barely room to walk round bed or open bathroom door. When we questioned this we were told ‘you dont pay for size of room, you pay for size of bed!’ Room was tired, only a small wardrobe with 3 hangers and no coffee/tea facilities or full length mirror. We were in Clifden for a wedding and couldn’t even see what we looked like! Curtains flimsy….i could go on! Was more like student accommodation and did not represent photos on website whatsoever! Only good thing was location

We stopped in Woodfields for lunch. The staff were superbly friendly; the lunch was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. To top it off, my husband left his new sunglasses there. We phoned and the lovely lady said she’d send them home in the mail for us. Top class - above and beyond- service

Stayed here for one night. Dreadful place. Bed really uncomfortable. Decor horrendous and bathroom and shower facilities arcade. Would not recommend it for anyone. Would be hesitant about booking from Internet again

Positives first : very nice staff and good continental breakfast. Hand sanitiser at entrance to building. Short walk to the town. Negatives: Cleanliness and neglect. Light outside room u not working, strong smell of urine in bathroom upon arrival, cobwebs everywhere, fan in bathroom covered in dust / cobwebs, items of clothing down the radiator from previous guests, cobwebs down the side of bed (nearest window). Expect a high standard of hygiene given the current pandemic. Wouldnt stay again. Window obkibe opens ajar (I'm sure for health and safety reasons) but meant the room was very stuffy. Also TV is the worlds smallest! Bottom line, I wouldn't return.
