Wonderful

Reviewed By Cynthia S

Delightful family run B&B. You felt like staying in someone's home, very comfortable, with the little things like LOTS of places to recharge all our phones etc. As good a breakfast as I have had. Quiet!! The lodge is an easy 10 minute walk from town and restaurants etc. Our bus driver from Galway dropped us off at the lodge. It is up hill if coming from town with luggage, so check with owners if you need a pickup in town. LOVED this place.

B&B no breakfast !!

Yeah what can I say a B&B with no breakfast which certainty leaves paying a premium price for a room ! Fantastic location just on the outskirts of the town within very easy walking distance to town centre. Room was specious and clean. Plenty of parking facilities.

Not Happy

Reviewed By janettes456

Stayed 2 nights in Room 10 which was quite clearly a single room with a double bed squeezed into it which meant there was barely room to walk round bed or open bathroom door. When we questioned this we were told ‘you dont pay for size of room, you pay for size of bed!’ Room was tired, only a small wardrobe with 3 hangers and no coffee/tea facilities or full length mirror. We were in Clifden for a wedding and couldn’t even see what we looked like! Curtains flimsy….i could go on! Was more like student accommodation and did not represent photos on website whatsoever! Only good thing was location

The friendliest staff and delicious food

We stopped in Woodfields for lunch. The staff were superbly friendly; the lunch was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. To top it off, my husband left his new sunglasses there. We phoned and the lovely lady said she’d send them home in the mail for us. Top class - above and beyond- service

Room for improvement.

Reviewed By Carol L

Positives first : very nice staff and good continental breakfast. Hand sanitiser at entrance to building. Short walk to the town. Negatives: Cleanliness and neglect. Light outside room u not working, strong smell of urine in bathroom upon arrival, cobwebs everywhere, fan in bathroom covered in dust / cobwebs, items of clothing down the radiator from previous guests, cobwebs down the side of bed (nearest window). Expect a high standard of hygiene given the current pandemic. Wouldnt stay again. Window obkibe opens ajar (I'm sure for health and safety reasons) but meant the room was very stuffy. Also TV is the worlds smallest! Bottom line, I wouldn't return.
