Baie Rouge

Beautiful beach - blue water and white sand. What you expect a Caribbean beach to look like! Very little seaweed. As the beach drops off pretty rapidly so you need to be careful about getting in and out of the water and watch the wave sets carefully.

Orient Bay Beach

Reviewed By ommegang - Bloomington, United States

We definitely saw some lingering signs of the destruction wrought by Irma, but the rebuilding seems to be in its last stages. This is already a beautiful beach and it will only get better over the next few months and years. Given the number of facilities and their good reputation we expected it to be super-busy but it wasn't. We did visit in the low season, but the beach is very long and very wide, with lots of room to stroll up and down, enjoy the water, the white sand, and the scenery. Great bars and restaurants too! - I saw some reviewers complain about the seaweed and thought it was rather silly because all natural beaches can have some seaweed. However, a record-breaking sargassum seaweed bloom is taking place and it is definitely affecting these beaches.

Happy Bay Beach

Reviewed By Eparker25 - Starkville, United States

We parked and walked in to the beach. It is about a 10 minute walk, down a paved road, then thru the old abandoned resort, and a rocky road down to the beach. To us, we enjoy making an effort to get to secluded beaches. We went on a Monday. The beach was awesome, water was perfect, surf a little rough. A couple of people came and went and there were never more than 6 people on the beach at one time for the three hours we were there. Great location and beach, we enjoyed everything about it.

Grand Case Beach

Reviewed By RenTineea - Los Angeles, United States

I was a little concerned about beaches on the French side after Anse marcel and orient bay, which I found to be tad pretentious and expensive. Grand Case beach was a corrective experience: it was laid back, fun, and captain frenchy was reasonably priced restaurant to grab drinks at and some lounge chairs (with umbrella). The water is beautiful and sand is powder white. Just as an aside in terms of location, there’s 3 restaurants at the far end of the beach, on the opposite end of restaurant row. THAT is where all the chairs and umbrellas are and I highly suggest making a reservation at one of those spots if you want to relax by the water. I recommend frenchies. We parked on the street and skipped one of the pay lots. I’d go back to grand case for sure!
