Highly recommend this trip and Serendipity overall. We booked a 7 day trip for April 2021 and turned out, our trip was during Ramadan and a pretty strict lockdown in Turkey. It was a great trip because the owner, Fazli, is an incredibly gifted guide and wonderful person. He and his driver were great hosts, nice, extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and excellent communicators. It was definitely an unusual time to travel, however, the hospitality from Fazli, all of the hotels, restaurants, sites were beyond our expectations, We saw great sites, including Gallipoli, Canakkale, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, Selcuk-Kusadasi,Pamukkale, Konya, Cappadocia and highly recommend traveling with Fazli and Serendipity Travel.

We took the Tour in Spanish and all I can say is that it was amazing!!! Ahmet (the guide) is such a respectful, patience, kind and friendly person. He explained very well to us the historical context of all the places. We started around 10 in the morning and finished at 4.30pm. All the places we visited were amazing (pictures are not fair)...we had time to take photos, to go to WC, to have lunch (it’s included in the price)..and just to enjoy the view... I seriously recommend this company and Ahmet!!! Thanks for everything, we had such a great time!!
This is a great tour to see some amazing places in Turkey where you will first start with Gaziantep one of the modern provinces of South-Eastern Anatolian Region and also one of the oldest of Hittite origin. Being the centre of pistachio nut cultivation where you will get a chance to taste Baklava (sweet pastry) and with its extensive olive groves and vineyards. Next, you will go to Şanlıurfa (the Prophets' City; also known as Urfa), is a pilgrimage town and spiritual centre. This is where the prophets Job and Abraham left their marks, and the Dergah complex of mosques and the holy Gölbaşı area is imbued with a compelling atmosphere redolent of the Middle East. Also the nearby temple of Göbekli Tepe is one of eastern Turkey's unmissable destinations. You will also visit Mount Nemrut, one the highest peaks of the Mesopotamia, with a summit at 2,206 metres above sea level and contains the tomb of King Antiochus I of Commagene that was commissioned by himself.

Booked through Goodman tours weeks before our scheduled Balloon flight via Viator. Received confirmation, got tickets. Night before our flight we get an email, not from Goodman tours but from Viator advising that Balloon flight has been cancelled due to “overbooking”. Rang Goodman tours, they say cancelled because of bad weather but there were heaps of other balloon flights the next morning. Very disappointed as we went to Cappadocia specifically for the Balloon ride. Could of let us know earlier in the day so we could book another flight. Goodman tours offered a complimentary activity, but if never eventuated. Will not use them again.

Went on a “private” group tour. It is winter and due to lesser visitors, we got a private tour for a group tour price. From Izmir, it took about 45-60min to arrive at the Ephesus. There was an optional rest room stops along the way. Our guide, Belkant, did a fantastic job of explaining all the sites in Ephesus and later, the Home of Virgin Mary, which was on top of a mountain near Ephesus. The tour included a good Turkish lunch at carpet factory. Of course, there was the “flying carpet” show to entice potential buyers. We learnt a lot about the Turkish carpet industry but we are not a big fan of carpets in general. So politely, we declined all their offers.

I did a day tour with Curio Travel and had an amazing time! The tour guide, Serkan was so knowledgeable, professional and friendly. It was a private tour and the tour guide was flexible and understanding for the tour sites where I wanted to spend more time, and I am so thankful to him for that. I feel so fortunate to experience Istanbul with Curio Travel, and going to remember my tour for a very long time. Hopefully, I will visit Istanbul again, and if I do I would definitely reach out to them :-)
