Very friendly and knowledgeable, Pietro took time (about 20 minutes) to explain his Prosecco when we showed up unannounced. Excellent Prosecco in the middle of the Cartizze region that competes very strongly with the multitude of other producers in the region. I've been visiting the area for over 30 years so I already have my favorites among the many I have tasted over the years. Pietro certainly knows what he is doing and I plan on many return visits. Driving up a long dirt road nestled between the grape vines sets a unique atmosphere that made for a better experience.

We were in Valdobbiadene for 3 days and we went there twice for lunch and pretty much only bought prosecco from there.... The "Nonna" there is a wonderful chef and is incredibly hospitable. Not so great for vegetarians but if you are in that region, it is a beautifully rustic experience.

The Treviso foothills, especially those running from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano, have proven their pedigree in the cultivation of the vine for centuries. Most of these hills emerged in the Tertiary era, formed from clay limestone, with yellow-bluish marl and ashen and skyblue sandstone. The physical-chemical composition of these soils is ideal for giving the grapes a specific character and bouquet, above all when combined with the temperature range between day and night due to the nearby mountains. With this wine tour and tasting you'll discover the secrets of the amazing Prosecco hills, listed as a UNESCO Heritage site in 2019!Anyway, most important, you'll taste great wines!

Inclusions: Greetings at the winery by the wine hospitality manager, Explanation of the history of the winery, Visit of the winery, Wine tasting according to the option chosen

This tour far exceeded our expectations! At first we were a little surprised to be told we were going to a saffron farm, as that hadn't been mentioned previously. It actually turned out to be a fascinating experience. We got to try the local saffron, including saffron infused beer, honey along with some of the local cheese and meats. We then went to castello tricerchi for a tour of a vineyard, cellars and the castle itself. The place was stunningly beautiful, and we got to have a wine tasting in the castle itself. After that we went to Martoccia which was another beautiful vineyard just outside montalcino. The cellar tour was fascinating, and it was followed by a 4 course lunch with wine tasting. The food was spectacular, and the wine was incredible. We were lucky enough to be able to try the new 2015 brunello which hadn't even been labelled yet. Our tour guide Nadia was extremely knowledgable and very relaxed. The tour actually finished 2 hours late, but she didn't seem to mind. She even let us store our wine in her office so we could go and explore Montalcino in the evening. Fantastic tour. Would thoroughly recommend

5. A sparkling tasting experience in a UNESCO Heritage site in Valdobbiadene

There is a common trait between a blacksmith that forges a nail and a winemaker that transforms grapes into wine. It is the stubborness, the will of confronting oneself with nature which can prove turn out to be hostile. Blow after blow the iron object takes shape, it forms itself under the eyes of the blacksmith, the ciodet (nail). Day after day the vine grows and brings its fruit, guided by the hands of the farmer who pollards, prunes, thins out and gathers, challenging the Spring frost and the Summer storms. And then again at the winery the winemaker’s job is to bring the must towards that delicate balance between simplicity and complexity that wine is made of. Artisan and winemaker. This is the spirit of Enrico Bortolomiol the enologist of Ciodet Spumanti. Enrico has made of perseverance, competence and precision his professional conduct.

Inclusions: Greetings at the winery by the wine hospitality manager, Winery tour, Wine tasting of 3 or 5 glasses of wine according to the option chosen

We had the pleasure of meeting Paolo who walked us through the history of the castle and the wine-making process. We got to taste wine at the different stages. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the factors that affect each element of the wine and explained things in a very clear manner. The tasting was outstanding, showcasing the differences between the grapes grown just a few meters away from each other. We loved the experience and would highly recommend it as a couple’s activity or with friends.
