This less traveled area of Poland is one of lovely tradition and natural beauty. I have climbed to the top of the Babia Gora twice and also attended the "Babiogorska Jesien" festival in nearby Zawoja. With the backdrop of the Babia Gora, local traditions are reenacted as the sheep are brought down from the hills and local townspeople sing and play folk music in a parade down the streets in a celebration of local heritage. It all ends at the local fair grounds where traditional music, food and crafts can be experienced. The Festival takes place every year at the end of September.

Our modern cable way can take you as high as over 1,000 m! Mosorny Gron in Zawoja invites you all year round. In winter, it is visited by skiers and snowboarders, looking for interesting route profiles, in summer the surrounding trails are filled with tourists. In spring and autumn, Mosorny offers stunning, full colour panoramas of beech forests surrounding the massif of Babia Gora.
