The museum depicts the era of the Northern Pacific Railway in its earlier years. We have early steam locomotives, freight cars used at the turn of the century, and passenger cars of the North Coast Limited on display. Docent tours are recommended and require a reservation so a representative can be available.
This is a surprise - we went during Christmas and they had model trains running of all sizes AND we rode on a real train in a caboose AND they had hands-on wooden play sets for young folks AND they had food AND they had Santa. The model trains that were on display and running are overwhelmingly entertaining. I have no idea how 2 hours elapsed. I wish I had thought to take more photos, I was too busy having fun. This is a worthwhile destination and it stands on it own, it is worth going to specifically, travel to this town just to see this? Yes! This review will fade into oblivion as other, newer, reviews take it's place, but since you're here why don't you add a nice rating if you have some nice words to say (and remember what your Mom always said, "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything"). Great to see businesses thrive in the Yakima area. Let's support Things To Do here just by being Yakima-friendly.

Toppenish has many murals located in town and some are newer and brighter whereas others are older and more faded but all are very nice and interesting to look at from both a historical sense and as well an artistic sense. Most deal with the town and its past and its history and indians and frontier days, local historical figures, the fruit growing industry of the area and so on.But all are interesting or worth viewing. Something that I found interesting is that there are no public tax dollars used to place any murals up in the town. They are all done through private donations and private citizens support.

Always have a good time at the casino. I win here on the slots more often than at any other casino I have been too. Only complaint: Wish it was not a dry casino. Food court and buffet are decent. Players card provides some good food coupons that I always use making the restaurants a really good deal. Well maintained and clean. Nice staff. Wish they had a retro section of older slot games, but they have a big selection and still have some with low bet choices. Large parking lot with easy parking. Good music. Decent air for a casino.
