It is really worth to turn from the main road from Torun to Gdansk go and visit this Cathedral and adjacent monastery. Impressive Cathedral with 22 m high altar ( being said to be the second highest one in Europe ) is a masterpiece of the gothic architecture. The monastery is not "alive" now but shows beautiful pictures on the walls. We bought the tickets and the guide let us go in. We were picked up again at the main entrance after some 30 minutes. The guides were nice and ready to answer our questions.

The Vistula Bridge was built in the 18-fifties as part of the Prussian Eastern Railway. It is the first long-span girder bridge on the European continent. The superstructure consisted of lattice beams whose sides have an extensive network of diagonal bars.
Originally 838m long, the bridge combined a single railway-track and a road. In the 18-eighties a new double-track railway bridge was built next to the Old Bridge. The Old Bridge became a road bridge.
During WW2 both Bridges were severely damaged. Today you find of the Old Bridge only three fields with the original lattice girders. The bridge is one of the earliest large iron girder Bridges.
With the remaining four pillar towers it forms a technical monument recognised by the ASCM.

Apparently there was a contest in 1970's in which some Polish towns located at the Wisła (Vistula) bid to have this state organised museum. Tczew won. Big building in which it is located hosts also some other institutions including the exhibition on everything Tczew across centuries. The museum itself documents quite large part of Poland, mainly about colonisation of this areas, as Wisła and it's trubutaries cover more than a half of the country. Exhibition is new, set up after recent refurbishment of the whole complex. The small car park can be entered from Kołłątaja street. July 2016 should see the opening of latest addition to the museum - the old boat and shipwreck restore centre.

It is indisputably one of the Greatest Surviving Examples of Gothic Religious Architecture in Pomerania.
This parish church has its roots in the 13th Century. The temple thrived during the Teutonic Order’s supremacy over this region. It is at that time it took the form it has been renowned for up to modern times. At first glance it intimidates tourists with its raw quality, the asceticism of red brick and vertical lanceted windows.
Its interior, on the other hand, abounds in the splendid array of forms and wealth of detail. Its superb decor can pride itself with the majestic high altar from the 17th Century and some recently-discovered unique Gothic frescos portraying female Saints.

Очень интересный объект в центре города. Старая мельница, но в хорошем состоянии. Жаль, внутрь не пускают, могла бы получиться интересная экскурсия.
