My wife teaches a home school group, and we have visited this wildlife center 3 times now in the last several years (once a year as a field trip with the children in our home school group). We and the children in our group have enjoyed the experience each time. It has a small gift shop and a reptile room as well as a playground and "wet lands" trail. The children always enjoy the different bird shows and various demonstrations. very reasonable price admission. They enjoy seeing all of the rescued birds and learning about the good and care that the wildlife center does for all of the injured birds. We will be back again and encourage families with kids to visit at least once for a field trip / educational experience. Keep up the great work !! The various bird shows / demonstrations are always awesome !!

THIS is the FAMILY outing YOU deserve with ALL your family members. Spotless, Clean, and Oh what Fun, this Seasonal Water Park run by Bulloch County in Statesboro Georgia (home of Georgia Southern University) is a RARE find outside of a major metro area. The Lazy River for us old timers, the zany kiddie Water Buckets Splashes and water cannons, the WAVE !!! POOL and BIG Water Slides for the Teens - Everything to LOVE at very family friendly prices. IF you are traveling I-16 or I-95 through Georgia, YOU want to stop by this cool breathe of Fun Air on Ga State Highway 24 just off the US 301 Bypass on the east side of Statesboro. And there are plenty of nearby hotels, restaurants, theaters, and a Mall.

Our stop to see the botanic gardens in statesboro, Georgia was a pleasant surprise. We were happy to stretch our legs and view all the flowers and every plant was bright green shining in the sun. We spent about thirty minutes walking and viewing the gardens.

Very good beer, nice atmosphere and deck...Adaptation IPA can hold its own...other beers are funky in an interesting way - particularly the sweet tea variety. I was not brave enough but that should not dissuade. If you find yourself in Statesboro - GO!

Large clean showrooms with fabulous finds among a great variety of items. The workers are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a trip if you enjoy antiques and the hunt for that special item....large or small.

I visited the recently renovated J. I. Clements Stadium for a baseball players alumni weekend. This baseball field is a far cry from the one I played on 40+ years ago. This is a wonderful facility with an impressive grandstand/seating, video board, manually operated scoreboard, and an impressive playing field. This held some sentimental value for me and my former teammates but this renovated venue is a first class ballpark. I would highly recommend for anyone, especially baseball fans, to stop in a catch a game!

While this is a multi-use facility for Georgia Southern, it's home to the University's men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. There's always something going on in Hanner and the teams are sure to put on an exciting show. View schedules at GSEagles.com
