The farm Lysuholl is located in Western Iceland on the South coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, which many Iceland experts consider to be the most beautiful part of the country. It is charactarized by a huge variety of landscapes and the glacier Snæfellsjokull with its nearly magical attraction gives it a very special charme.

A unique whale watching experience in the widest fjord in Iceland with a chance of seeing many different species of whale. Nowhere else in Iceland is there a better chance to see toothed-whales such as orcas, sperm whales and pilot whales than along this beautiful coastline.

I completely understand the average TA reviews written about this waterfall. When I see their photos I agree with them. However, we discovered this waterfall purely by accident and when we did we saw that it was completely frozen over which made for a completely different waterfall experience. I would even go far to say that this was one of our most incredible waterfalls experienced in all of Iceland it was that breathtaking. We arrived at the end of the day with the sun setting and climbed as close as we could to the giant and spectacular ice structure. I found my eyes glued to the beauty of the scene and just stared at it for at least 30 mins. And I loved the frozen stream of water beneath it with a slight trickle of water going through. This probably would have been a quick visit for me as well had it not been for the fact that it was completely frozen which made for a spectacular and unexpected scene!
We are a local handcraft market!
