Had lots of fun. Place is situated up in the Kereita forest in Kimende, road is narrow and gets steep in some places. Perfect place for team bonding. The thing that impressed me the most about this place is the safety precautions they take. The instructors are professional and prepare you well for any activity especially the dangerous ones like zip lining. That gives you a lot of confidence going in coz that zip line is way higher that I thought it would be. Only did 2 zip lines, planning on going back for 6. Paintball was also fun, those guns are more powerful than you think so try and avoid getting hit in uncovered areas like your hands or you'll get bruised like I did. This is quite an operation these guys have going and it's easy to see why it's so popular.

This place is unique, a large volcanic crater, with steam escaping in places, excellent view and a little markets with touristy stuff. I also noticed a thick volcanic ash (tuff) deposit in the road cuttings and small quaries on the way up, probably from this crater, or indeed a nearby one. Well worth the visit.

KraftyArtZ is a small workshop based in Nakuru, Kenya. We employ approximately 60 talented local Kenyan artists and artisans and make a range of stunning hand crafted gifts and homewares, such as trays, placemats, drinks coasters, key rings, fridgemagnets etc. We welcome visitors to our workshop and are very happy to show people around.
I have been seeing Krafty ArtZ products in lots of gift shops in Nairobi and thought it would be nice to see how they were made. I decided to pay a visit with my family. Finding them is a lot easier than I thought it would be and it is not far from Nakuru Park which is where we went first. I called them for directions and they were very helpful. It is a very lovely workshop and the people are very friendly. We were given a tour by Henry who is their production manager. It is incredible to see how all these beautiful things are made. After the tour we visited their shop and my wife wanted to carry the whole shop with her! The products are also cheaper here than in Nairobi which is a bonus. It was difficult to decide what to choose. It is definitely worth visiting and we will return when we next go to Nakuru.

Kariandusi is a very interesting archeological site, located near lake Elementaita. You will see a vast array of stone tools, situated as discovered during the course of exploration and excavation by Louis Leakey. The guide is very knowledgeable, and the walk to the two different sites gives you a good feel for the area as it was in prehistoric times, even if things have likely shifted a bit over time. The landscape is lovely with views of the lake and Rift Valley. Well worth the visit.
