The family and I had a blast at Kirwin. We even hiked to the site where Amelia Earhart was building her cabin. Kirwin Ghost Town Adventures gave us a pictorial map to get there, plus a driving map of the area we toured around in. They are great folks and very accommodating. It is NOT a tour, you drive yourself!! There was a Jeep Tour company in Cody, but they went out of business in 2018. They even have Satellite Communicators available, because there is NO Cell Service at Kirwin. Wonderful day! We got all the supplies for our picnic in Meeteetse at the Wea Market.

The Cowboy Bar/Dining Room in Meeteetse is nestled in the mountains between two larger Wyoming communities, Thermopolis and Cody , and must compete with many restaurant options while passing through the county during your scenic drive. The Cowboy Bar/Dining hold their own for food and service. As a Wyoming foodie, I recommend the Cowboy Bar /Family Dining in the historic town of Meeteetse because of their rustic Wyoming flair, amazing food, beverages, and commitment to service. Recently, we stopped in for dinner at the rustic Cowboy Bar after leaving Cody with our son and grandson. Our grandson enjoyed soft-tip darts and billiards in the bar family area while we enjoyed amazing Mozz sticks and watched he and his dad play pool & darts...and then our dinner...Oh my Goodness homemade steak fingers & gravy, which are to die for! There is also a separate dining room away from the bar, and I hear the pizza is part of a long amazing menu list!!! The staff was so very gracious and treated us like royalty!
