La Cumbrecita is a small picturesque, secluded alpine-like hamlet, located amongst spruce and pine, at 1,450 metres (4,757 ft) above sea level, where it is not unusual to see a blanket of snow in winter time. It is situated in the Calamuchita Valley in the Grand Sierras of Córdoba, Argentina. A 30 kilometres (19 mi) paved road, up through scenic views of the Sierra Grandes will take you to La Cumbrecita.

Luego de llegar al pueblo peatonal de Calamuchita, hay que caminar durante casi dos horas por el camino que atraviesa el arroyo Almbach y asciende por un frondoso bosque de abedules hasta el cerro Wank
We went to La Cumbrecita for the day and were amazed at the beauty of the village and all the activities available. We swam near the Cascada Grandes as well as climbed the Mountains near town for a beautiful view. Couldn't recommend this town enough!

To get here it is quite hilly, rocky with lots of steps and as we heard one lady say, helps to be part goat! It does require a level of fitness and not for the elderly, frail or strollers etc. However, once you get to the falls they are quite beautiful and you can sit and just listen to the falling water for ages. Defintely recommend this trip.

Beautiful spot for a picnic, or just to relax on a rock and listen to the running water. We even found a way round the pond and stepped down on the rocks further down getting beautiful views of the spot, up and down the water course, including mini cascades.

Breathtaking views, amazing trecking paths and loads of actvities for those who don't suffer from vertigo and loove adrenaline! If you have the chance to grab a bite, french fries are decent but rabas are really good there!
PS: ask about the different trecking paths. Some are not suitable for kids or people with movility or health issues

Taught it was a real rip-off to pay over $20 to park your car and be taken by a run down bus to the edge of this village were all streets are for pedestrian. To eat in any of their restaurants the prices are so inflated…Not a detour I would recommend.
Unless you have not visited Swiss or German alpine villages I would skip. Even then, after all you are not in Argentinia to see Europe. Perhaps a nice vacation village for Argentinians who will not be travelling to Europe. There they can enjoy some European flair, bathe in the sun, hike a bit and enjoy the waters…but for a visitor to Argentina not much interest.

La cascada escondida está apartada del pueblo y hay que caminar un buen rato para llegar a ella. Con la ayuda de un programa en mi celular la pude encontrar sino es bastante difícil de ver. Pero es como una búsqueda del tesoro, al final tiene su premio.
