Amazing place! Must be the most nicest Zoo in Czech Republic! Fantastic African deco!
We have visited in summer holidays so it was busy, however we have arrived early morning and went straight on the Safari trip - guided tour. Our driver/guide was great, full of animal knowledge and very entertaining with very interesting facts. We were surprise how big this place is and how many animals were there.
Lots to do with children, massive rope park, adventure park and lots activities on each corner of the Zoo. Animals here look very happy and well look after. Lots of places to get food and beverage and large souvenir shop too.
Overall? Great place to spend with family and friends, we have spent there a whole day!

The Kuks Hospital (sometimes reffered as Kuks Chateau) is a beautiful baroque jewel near Hradec Kralove (Königgratz) in Eastern Bohemia. This place once owned by the Spork nobel family has obtained new restored look lately and it involves the great open air gallery of Matthias Bernhard Braun´s statues. The Kuks Hospital also contains the farmacy museum. Since this place is not the major foreign tourist attraction in the Czech Republic and located about 2 hours away driving from Prague, you will not find many foreign tourists here and I am not sure whether you get guiding in any foreign language, but for art lovers it is definitely worth the tour.

Úchvatné a naprost nádherné místo.

On the F.A.Spork initiative M.B.Brown created a nativity scene in the woods near Kukus with the birth of Jesus. This happened in the 18th century. These sculptures have been recently restored, making them look great.

The whole is in height in a perfect staging, around the central aisle and access stairs embellished with a waterfall. Baroque architecture, sculpture, landscape, everything is in harmony.
At the entrance, on a massive balustrade: statues signed Matyáš B. Braun. On one side, twelve of them symbolize the virtues of human nature, and on the other, twelve others symbolize vices. On the Terrace you can see the allegory of the religion of Matyáš B. Braun. Carved in a block of sandstone of 5 tons, it is undoubtedly the most beautiful Baroque statue of the country.
The hospital of the Brothers of Charity, often called "castle", is more precisely a spa center built in 1695 by G.-B. Alliprandi. The lapidary of the old hospital houses the original works of Matyáš B. Braun (the others are copies). In the hospital are the Church of the Holy Trinity and its crypt. It was built after the hospital and houses the family vault Spór (the coffin of the count is pewter) and especially a unique work of Matyáš B. Braun: the wooden statue of Christ. You can also visit the baroque pharmacy of the hospital
Free parking near the hospital or in the village of Kuks .. Visits are with a guide ..Possibility of catering at the cafe - restaurant next to the parking of the hospital
For the complete visit it takes about 3 hours
