There's nothing like a day road trip adventure with my daughter Heather an my three grandauthers ages 7,9,12.Our road trip took us to "Rock City Park in Olean Ny". When you arrive at the park entrance there's a sign overhead welcoming you to "Rock City Park" along the gates there's rocks stacked on top one another making a rock tower. As you drive through the gates an down the gravel driveway you are surprised at the fun small signs with whimsical sayings about the park. What a unique way to start your journey in the park.As you came into the parking lot there you will see picnic tables,a swing, restrooms an a few other surprises that will make you laugh n smile. You must enter the gift shop to purchase your tickets to the park which by the way is reasonably priced Adults $5.00 an Childern $2.50.An you can stay in the park as long as you like. When getting your tickets you will also recive a paper map of the park an the starting point. On the map there are numbers an the names of the rocks that correspond with the map in which you wanna see.Little did my grandauthers know they where getting some education on this trip.I know sneaky right. But they know how to read a paper map now.Not only will you get to see some scenic views along with various forms of fauna and flora along the trail.By reading the map you will also find a few hidden surprises an there's some great photo opportunities. My grandauthers, my daughter an myself all loved climbing an hiking the rock formations through out the park.My grandauthers had a blast an they all wanna come back for another visit

This well-designed loop trail provides a surprisingly peaceful recreational path for biking, walking, or running. It loops around St. Bonaventure University's campus, follows the Allegany River, and re-connects with itself via a power line right-of-way that provides a meadow setting. The trail is nicely paved and maintained. It took us 40 minutes. Road crossings have pedestrian signals except for the crossing on Constitution St. near the northeastern part of the loop. As Constitution takes on more traffic from I-86 to Walmart/Home Depot, this becomes a more treacherous crossing than State St! Drivers are small town nice, but this is hard.
To rent a bike, go to the Twist-N-Shake ice cream/burger place on Constitution. You go into the door to the right of the windows and ask the cashier. There are no pesky liability waivers to sign or deposits to leave. Just pay the money and grab a bike. I strongly suspect that Twist-N-Shake's liability insurer has not found out about the sideline bike rental business yet. The bikes are sturdy, single-gear bikes that performed well.
So, this is NOT the Stowe, VT recreational path, but serves Olean and Allegany well and gives visitors an astonishingly pleasant view of the river.

Founded on the banks of Allegheny, we are determined to provided exceptional craft beer to the Enchanted Mountains of Olean, New York.
My family stopped in here for an early dinner after a day of hiking at Rock City Park. My wife and I each had a flatbread as our meal and they were both pretty good, not a huge portion size but decent for the price. I had the 'Four Mile' but it lacked any horseradish flavor that was in the description and it had very little pastrami but a lot of cheese and it was cooked well so it was still good. My wife had the ' Barry Street' which was also good but did not have much pork belly on it. I really enjoyed the 'Maple Brown Ale' although I did not taste any maple flavor, it tasted more like brown sugar but I still thought it was really good. The restaurant is kid friendly as they do have high chairs for the little ones.

Very interesting visitor center that gives the history of their products as well as an opportunity to actually try before you buy. Very friendly woman who answered our questions and shared the Cutco story. It was very helpful to actually try the can opener before I made my purchase. Went home and got rid of all other can openers that I owned (including an electric one).

Great place for video games, over priced too. Food was expensive and not worth the price. The service was great and the convenience of eating while playing was nice. The grandsons had a great time

The area's largest Amish furniture and country crafts store, specializing in American made, solid wood furniture and gifts. Inventory includes furniture for every room of the house, hundreds of framed prints, a wide selection of curtains, braided rugs, and hand-made gifts. In business 11 years and going strong, located on the Olean-Portville Road, 3 miles east of Olean, NY.
Enjoy going in and seeing nice products. Very friendly. Amish made furniture at a descent price. Very well located and it's easy to get in and out. Not far from olean, salamanca, Cuba, portville, wellsville. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will try to get it for you. They will notify you when it comes in.

XPhobia is an escape room, a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a themed room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape!
Last week we escaped from DaVinci and this week we escaped from Pirates Cove. They are both great rooms and very well thought out. I like how you are given a free clue and then each subsequent clue takes time off your end time if you have any left, not the actual 60 minute (I haven't seen this strategy in any other rooms we have done). Also, Bill is great to work with and extremely accommodating, especially with larger groups.
They have plans to better the rooms and to add different themes. I would highly recommend checking the rooms out and supporting their business. They also take the time afterward to explain any confusion or to take suggestions.
