Aldie is an unincorporated community located between Chantilly and Middleburg in Loudoun County, Virginia. Aldie's historic heart is the Village of Aldie that is located on the John Mosby Highway (U.S. Route 50) in a gap between the Catoctin Mountains and Bull Run Mountains, through which the Little River flows. Aldie traditionally serves as the gateway to Loudoun Valley and beyond.

We've been stopping at the Aldie Peddler for years and every time we've enjoyed chatting with Wally, the proprietor, and his sister Karen, about wines from all over the world. We never miss an opportunity to stop in and find out about his latest adventures and the newest wines he has discovered...never miss an opportunity to stop at the Aldie Peddler...

Highly recommended for people on their way to Middleburg or other nearby areas.
How totally awesomely cool is it to see corn ground to meal through the workings of a water wheel? You get just that, and a lot more, at the Aldie Mill. The entire operations is exceptionally well preserved, and the mill is in full working order, right down to running the internal grain elevators. The staff is highly knowledgeable and very outgoing; they even stayed over a little later as we showed up right before closing time. They explained everything in full details, and were happy to take all of my super-nerd questions about the workings of the mill. There's even a resident snake, and apparently a few snake-babies, that come out to sun themselves on the millrace rocks, although we didn't get to see them on our visit. Parking is ample, and even a little shaded. There is no cost for admission, but they are happy to receive a donation to help keep this outstanding attraction preserved and open.

Now that beer drinkers aren't segregated from the rest of the property, QG is even better. The wide open area is great for families on a nice day, and there are great choices at the bar and in the kitchen. Take your kids and have a great time!

Yet again, in spite of the dreary weather, a nice visit to Quattro. The brewery staff is helpful and pleasant. The pizza is the best version of Sicilian I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside, and flavorful. The beer is consistently good, and many different styles are offered. Having visited many breweries/wineries in our area, this is my favorite, hands down.

We had a great morning, and Fred made the time more enjoyable. Our party of six ranged in age from early twenties to mid-fifties. We had a 9:30 time, which is what I recommend. The park was very crowded by the time we left at 11:30, but that shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, as private parties get to move from field to field and get it to themselves. Fred, our referee, gave us good instructions and guided us through the different fields. He gave us pointers about the fields and strategies, which made the day more fun for everyone. I highly recommend Pev's. We definitely will return.
