Military Park

Reviewed By jjkam91 - Newark, United States

This is a very well kept park. The trees and foliage are beautiful in Military Park! They have the grass finely manicured and lots of places to sit. There are monuments that are very well detailed and placed in exactly the right spots. There are many events that go on in this park, food vendors when events are going on and my favorite-live music when they have it. Everyone is friendly no matter race, creed or religion. I have met nice people here nearly everytime I go. The groundskeepers are helpful and pleasant and they do a wonderful job on the park upkeep! It is easy to get to, as well. The Newark Light rail is right at this park and so many different bus lines stop here or very close by. I have been to art exhibits for domestic violence victims here. The art was wonderful. I have seen awesome bands play here with lots of different food trucks with different varieties of food. The food is yummy and it's always a nice time at Military Park for the young, the adults and the seniors. Everyone enjoys this park. It is very serene in certain areas even with all the downtown Newark traffic around there. Look up events online and make a visit, because a nice time awaits!!!

New Jersey Transit

Reviewed By WaterlooDad - Waterloo, Canada

This was my first visit from New Jersey airport to NYC and the clear signage with friendly staff made it easy. The short monorail from the airport to the station is clear to find and only took a few minutes. The train station is really clear too, with display terminals with easy options for round trip or regular. It is nice that the round trip is for 9 days so it covers the length of my shirt stop here. Penn station here I come!
