We offer the most authentic and exciting experiences on our Fast Rescue Craft. Tours depart three times a day from our dock in Bonavista, adjacent to the Matthew Legacy building on Roper Street. Each trip runs between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. Come see Humpback, Fin and Minke Whales on our trips. Other sightings may include: icebergs, puffins, ocras, seals, porpoises and a variety of sea birds.

You will spend two hours touring the coastline in Bonavista, Newfoundland. We'll head out to the Bonavista Lighthouse where you can wave to the folks onshore and watch Puffins and Gannets fly overhead. Icebergs make their appearance in May and June and we'll take you there for an unforgettable experience. Humpback whales follow shortly thereafter.

Park your vehicle, and just start walking - in any direction - you will be so very amazed at the breath taking views from these rocks/cliffs. We drove up to the lighthouse early in the day to enjoy our morning coffee, and it was hard to describe how it felt to sit at the top of the cliff and watch the whales in the ocean, with the gentle ocean breeze on our faces, feeling like we were at the top of the world, with the most amazing view..... it was priceless....

The main attraction here is sea-cave with two pierced holes...a bit similar to Arches Provincial Park (located north of Gros Morne) but far more prettier in my opinion! The area is super-scenic...not far from the cave, there are beautiful horses and cattle grazing about; makes for some great pictures, especially against the ocean backdrop! Definitely stop here on your way to/from Cape Bonavista lighthouse. The only downside is the road (approx 1km worth of pebblestones); drive carefully!

King's Cove Lighthouse Trail is just 1 of 7 Trails Hike Discovery has within it's network. This trail has an inner trail of a 1.7 km loop and an outer trail of 3.5 km providing spectacular views of coastal scenery. Please visit our webpage to learn more about our other trails.
Simply WOW! Easy walk along the lighthouse trail in King’s Cove leads to the lighthouse. This was once a maned lighthouse but is now automated. Be sure to do the whole loop trail and take in Brook Point to see the most incredible example of sedimentary rock. Simply stunning coastal landscapes. Perfect place for a picnic. Whales and icebergs in season. Looped trail isn’t long but budget 2 hours just to enjoy it all.
