A panoramic overlook that stands nearly one thousand feet above the Potomac River.
Just a short 3 mile drive from Berkeley Springs we found a smashing overlook from where we could see three states: West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland. National Geographic Magazine rates this scene among America’s Outstanding Beauty Spots.

Located in the center of historic Berkeley Springs, Berkeley Springs State Park is home to a mineral spa that has been in use since colonial times. The park is renowned for its warm spring water, which flows at a constant temperature of 74.3 degrees. The park’s Old Roman and Main bathhouses offer a wide selection of spa services, including massages, saunas, baths and showers.
A fun little park in which to hang out and relax. Love that you can wade in the stream and fill up water bottles of delicious spring water for free (don't forget your containers)! The Roman Baths are something we look forward to and treat ourselves to whenever we visit Berkeley Springs, one of our favorite places in the whole country to visit. George Washington loved this place, and so do we!

Atasia Spa is a full-service spa located in the middle of West Virginia's Town of Bath, one block from the Berkeley Springs State Park. Known for its spas, Berkeley Springs has many fine restaurants, B&Bs, hotels and shopping establishments - within walking distance of Atasia Spa.
During the almost 15 years we have been going to Berkeley Springs for R&R long weekends, my wife and I always make sure to include a visit to Atasia Spa. The facilities are very clean, organized, and well-kept with a very serene, peace-filled ambiance. The staff is extremely accommodating, courteous, friendly & helpful. We usually plan for a 3+hour stay - doing the Steam Room & Herbal Wrap, followed by rejuvenating facials, and topped off with massages by the Spa owner Frankie Tan. Afterwards, we feel so pampered, stress-free and relaxed that we pretty much float back through the town and up the hill to our B&B! Highly recommended!!

Sitting in the shadows of the highest peak in the eastern portion of West Virginia, Cacapon Resort State Park offers 6,000 acres of exciting outdoor getaways all year-round. The park provides lake activities and hiking opportunities, vacation cabins, golfing, and restaurants in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The word Cacapon is a derivative of a Shawnee Indian word meaning "medicine waters," a reference to the area's mineral waters that have been renowned throughout history for their healing powers. Note: Cacapon's Lodge is undergoing a transformation and expansion. Upon arrival, visitors will find and observe construction in progress that adds more rooms and amenities. Contractors are active between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The park staff appreciates visitors understanding and patience.
Cacapon was more beautiful than ever with the woods fully leafed out. The pollinator gardens were expanded from last year and so beautiful you could hardly tear your eyes away from them. True to its name, the garden was full of "pollinators" enjoying the bounty of the flowers. The Nature Center offered many fun activites like cooking dessert over the campfire, then feasting on the cobblers we made. we also went on a short walk to learn about the trees in the resort that was offered by the Nature Center.. Every day the Nature Center offers activities like tie dye classes or snake or bird walks that are both fun and educational that often include hiking. As always, the cabin was immaculately clean and well equipped. Although the park is only a two hour drive from Washington, DC, it feels like a world away, with a slow pace and time for enjoying nature.
