Tthe Ziemke Glassblowing Studio is the working studio of Glass Artist Glenn Ziemke. It features an observation room where visitors can watch glassblowing as the artists are working. There is also a gallery attached which features the entire line of Glenn's work including from glassware for the table to sculptural pieces for the home and for gifts. Glenn has been working in glass for 45 years and his Waterbury Center Studio is observing its 26th year.
This was a true find while we were in town. The owner's studio is beautiful, with all sorts of different pieces to buy. The best treat is being able to see him work in the back, through a large glass window. We were poking around and he told us he was going to go back and do some work, and invited us to sit down and watch for a bit. He explained what he was going to do and then came back out to answer questions afterwards. It's a very cool place to stop in and take a look around.

Prohibition Pig Brewery is located behind our restaurant and features lunch + supper 7 days a week. We fill growlers with any of our house beers. The brewery menu includes street food from Central and South America. The brewery has outdoor seating in the warmer months.
We finally made it to prohibition pig's brewery after years or trying to get a seat! We took advantage of a cool Tuesday and we had the place to ourselves! There are a few spaced apart of tables inside and lots of outdoor seating. Loved the Cubano sandwich and all their IPAs!

A great place to grab an amazing cup of coffee and a delicious baked good. Comfortable seating and incredibly friendly staff. Bring your own mug or ask for your coffee in a mug (instead of a paper cup) and help save the planet! Check out the visitors' center and learn about our community.
