The Priory Theatre is a self-funding theatre run by its members for the benefit of the local community. It produces around 9 productions a year including a broad range of styles: comedy, drama, musical and pantomime. There is also a thriving Youth Theatre that aims to develop young people's skills and knowledge of theatre.
Excellent Panto! Best we have ever seen at the Priory. Didn’t stop laughing all through. Kids loved it!!

Little Himalaya Salt Rooms aims to help those with respiratory problems, as well as sinus, skin and sleep issues, via natural salt therapy. The treatment comprises a 45-minute session whereby customers relax in a quiet, restful room and a very fine aerosol mist of pharmaceutical salt is introduced into the atmosphere. The effect of the fine salt dust on the lung tissue is to reduce inflammation, provide anti-bacterial properties and to thin the mucus on the lungs. A great deal of further information regarding salt therapy can be found on our website.
Identified during discussion on treatment options during a Pulmonary Rehabilitation course. Researched Halotherapy, found Littlle Himalaya and was quite taken by the owners story. Set up a 6MWT (6 Minute Walk Test) with my COPD nurse to obtain a baseline and booked a taster session. Very impressed on first visit, relaxed friendly staff and facilities just as shown on their website. Enjoyed 45 minutes of relaxation in the salt cave and booked a further 5 sessions over two weeks, completed this week. Subjectively the experience and results were great, totally relaxed during sessions and felt better with improved breathing and energy levels. Today I performed the 6MWT to determine if there was any objective improvement. Results are 10% increase in distance, less reduction in blood oxygen level whilst walking, stable pulse, less fatigue in legs, reduced recovery time and less breathlessness on completion. All parameters show a distinct improvement over the baseline. It may come as no surprise that I shall be booking maintenance appointments to align with my exercise programme over the coming weeks. On a less serious note it really is a well run friendly place to just go for an hours total relaxation, but if you are there for health reasons remember to do the breathing exercises at the start - you will probably be in snooze mode at the end! Thoroughly recommend with no reservations.

Our spa, which is home to 2 spa treatment rooms, indoor swimming pool and steam room, is open seven days a week until 8pm Monday-Thursday!
Having read some of the negative reviews of the spa here I was pleasantly surprised at our spa day experience. Perhaps some of the other reviewers were used to having 5 star experiences at 5 star prices but I felt that the spa experience was very good value for money. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our therapist was young but very good indeed and couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. My daughter and I had a full body massage and a facial each and they both compared very well with other spas I've been to. I was wondering how it would be to have treatments under the current Covid restrictions, but all of the staff wore masks or visors and I saw the chairs and surfaces in the Spa waiting room being sprayed and cleaned several times when I was waiting for my daughter. I felt safer there than in some supermarkets! The pool is quite small but it was clean and bright and I saw the water being checked and the pool cleaned inbetween users. I was perfectly comfortable sitting poolside and reading. We had a light lunch included and we had a good choice of sandwich fillings, starter and a light dessert. We then went for a walk in the beautiful grounds. Well done to all of the spa staff and I would definitely come here again.

This was the second year that we chose to take our grandchildren to the panto at the Talisman Theatre. It’s not a huge auditorium and we think it’s all the better for that and very child friendly. While the performers may not be professional actors, they are are certainly better than most am-dram and are really enthusiastic. As with with all pantos, the (predictably dreadful) jokes are pitched at all levels and the audience responded accordingly. The sets, props and wardrobe are first class and scene change and continuity made at a pace that maintains attention. Last year we just took our 5 year old granddaughter and she was spellbound, despite thinking Widow Twanky looked like a mummy but sounded like a daddy! This year we also took our (nearly) 3 year old and very lively grandson and we were amazed that he too was enthralled by the spectacle and sat watching for almost the whole performance - quite an accolade for the performance! Meanwhile, our granddaughter (just turned 6) loved every minute and joined in whenever audience participation was expected and then, to our amazement, rushed forward to be on stage for the singalong despite saying before we arrived that she didn’t want to do it. She loved the Princess (especially her sparkling dress) and the “silly” cousin. All that said, grandma and granddad enjoyed it too ! So a good time was enjoyed by all at a theatre that is fantastically supported by an army of willing volunteers, priced sensibly for families and as such this pantao represents great value for money and great entertainment.

Superb Sunday roast dinner, delivered on time (both occasions). We had the 'Big Boy' meal and shared it between us, There were two huge Yorkshire Puddings all light and crispy, with beef and lamb, an array of vegetables with roast potatoes and mash potatoes also gravy. We couldn't finish it so made a soup with what was left.

The only "problem" with this place is that it is usually busy, both with local people and tourists - thanks to its location, almost opposite to the castle and close to the Abbey Fields. But it only confirms that the place is popular and the food is good. Living in Kenilworth, I dined there several times, including one family event where several guest came from abroad: as I wanted to offer them some "taste of Britain", I have ordered local version of fish and chips and everybody was delighted.
