Nestled on the banks of the Whitemouth River is an eco-friendly, all season, five bedroom guest house that offers you a full service retreat experience. We welcome individuals for personal retreat, as well as facility rentals for groups or organizations planning their own special small group retreats. We also offer a year-round workshop schedule with dynamic and supportive teachers.

Reviewed By 251joantMy two girlfriends and I found Moon Gate on the internet and it sounded like the perfect place to get away from the rat race for a couple of days. It totally exceeded our expectations! From the lovely themed bedrooms, it was hard to choose which one to pick! To the large living room, dining room and kitchen that was all ours to use. Never mind a full fridge with the makings for a wonderful morning breakfast. Fresh sourdough bread as well with everything you would need for coffee, tea, etc. The house was clean, comfortable and just so peaceful. There was even a sauna in the house that was ours to use as often as we wished. The views outside and the quiet, with just the sounds of just the river running by was just what we needed ..it was a true retreat. Jenny is such a wonderful hostess and makes you feel right at home. We also happened to be there for Friday Pizza Night. Michel makes the best pizza ever! It couldn't have been any better. We actually booked two nights before we left for three months down the road. This way we knew we had it to look forward to again. It was so hard to leave! Very highly recommended!

Worst motel ever
Reviewed By jasonpX4784OQIt stunk, the mattress was stiff. And they stole my deposit saying I smoked in a non smoking room. I see other reviews where this has happened in the past. Looks like business is slow and the easy way to make the lease payment is rip off your guests. They don't care if you come back. They dont need return business if they keep there guests deposits with made up stories. Another sucker will pull in tomorrow. Absolutely the worst Motel in the world. The owners or dishonest and greedy. They should be made to close up shop. I hope karma police come to arrest them. Unfortunately the regular police dont deal with these minor problems. They know this and take advantage of this fact.

small town feel
Reviewed By billcat1hotel was clean, nothing fancy but good enough, bar servers were very nice, one young girl working behind the bar and doing cash for the slot machines was a sweetheart, I wish I knew her name, long black hair, young, I asked her if she was old enough to be serving me booze, lol . will for sure stop in again next time we are in town.

Reviewed By MrsPacker54The toilet had pee in it when we checked in, the wall behind the bed was sticky, no hot water for a shower. On the plus side the restaurant had a delicious home cooked breakfast and the cleaning lady was cheerful.
