Kanab, Utah and the Peekaboo Slot Canyon was our first stop of a 7 day adventure vacation. Our guides were terrific, the slot canyon is an amazing site to see and worth every minute of the bumpy off-road ride to get there. Definitely a must do if in the area.

EXPERIENCE A DEEP, REMOTE SLOT CANYON. Buckskin Gulch is the longest slot canyon in the world, slicing through the beautiful Navajo sandstone in southern Utah. Enjoy an intimate, private adventure in an incredible slot canyon without the mass of crowds that are encountered at Zions or Antelope Canyon. We'll be dropping into the very middle of this remote canyon, bypassing a long hike at the beginning, and exploring the labyrinth at a leisurely pace all to ourselves. This hike is not for anyone with a strong fear of heights and requires a steep Class 3 scramble into the slot (you'll be using your hands). This is a physically demanding hike of a minimum distance of 4 miles and a max of 10 miles. Recent rain events may require hiking through mud and wading through pools of water. Conditions inside the slot canyon change continuously, so bring an adventurous and positive attitude. Entry into the canyon is allowed only if safe from flash flood danger.

Amazing sunset tour of White Pockets with Jeff and an even more amazing day at Coyote Buttes South with Ron the next day. Toured White Pockets with Jeff for sunset-got to hike around the area and was treated to a late arrival of golden hour high clouds for sunset photos. Coyote Buttes South (permit area) was even more amazing. Lots of oohs and aahs at every corner. Guided to many off the beaten path locations by Ron, who is a wealth of information on local flora and fauna. If you're ready for lots of up and down hiking, you are in for special "bucket list" hike and experience.

There are as many metaphors to describe what locals call 'down in the Buckskin' as there are people who have been there. I choose the word 'in' because you are literally inside the walls of the world's longest slot canyon. According to the Bureau of Land Management ('BLM') website, Buckskin Gulch is 16 miles long (around 26 km) from the Buckskin Trailhead to the Paria Canyon and over 500 feet (around 150m) deep at its confluence with the Paria River. There are places in the Buckskin where you are able to touch both canyon walls at the same time. Buckskin Gulch is a photographer's and hiker's Mecca. Every corner you turn is changing continuously; the cliffs are water-and-wind-sculpted patterns of colors, light and shadows. You may also marvel and puzzle at the meanings of the rock writings (petroglyphs) from the early Archaic period (some are as old as 9,000 years). It was voted one the top 10 hikes in the world by National Geographic Adventure Magazine a few years back.

We had an unforgettable tour of the White Pocket area which was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Hunter, was great! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the geology of the area. The private tour allowed for the flexibility to focus on areas that interested us. We had a fabulous time and were surprised at how quickly the day flew by. After riding on the dirt roads with Hunter (& his large 4x4!), we were even more glad we booked this tour & didn’t try to get there on our own! We would definitely book with Seeking Treasures again!
Immerse yourself into the mystery of the slot canyons of the Utah Plateau. Flash floods have created the most intriguing slot canyons chiseled into the soft dark red sandstone of Utah. Come with us to explore and experience the magic of the slots! Although some scrambling is required, these canyon walks are non-technical.

A month in advance, I reached out to Susanne for a custom private tour of Yellowstone, Utah's Mighty Five, and Grand Canyon. Susanne and Team really delivered, tailoring an itinerary to match my tastes, weather, and budget. Cameron the guide was also amazing - knowledgeable, flexible, and a great travel partner. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!
Few people see the mighty Grand Canyon National Park from the remote North Rim. Here a wide web of jeep tracks lead to remote and almost inaccessible wilderness, and the best view points on the entire Grand Canyon. Our local guides take you to the Grand Canyon rarely seen by tourists. You get to see the inaccessible Toroweap overlook, reachable only by sturdy 4x4. Then we jeep onto the North Rim, the remote rim of the Grand Canyon. We camp and hike along the Rainbow Rim Trail with stunning views into the abyss of the canyon below. On the return to Las Vegas, we have a chance to walk the world’s longest and deepest Narrows, The Buckskin Gulch, hidden in the Paria Wilderness. Most of the sights of this itinerary are reachable only on 4x4 tracks through the desert and forest. We will spend 3 nights camping in the wilds without any infrastructure. There will be no electricity, running water, and limited cell reception on this trip. We will bring an emergency signaling device.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: We ask that you bring your own sleeping bag.
