Short for Lower Downtown, this 29-block section of trendy bars, restaurants and shops also contains preserved buildings from the city's original settlement.
Love the artsy vibe in LoDo. Dairy Block was one of my favorites and is such a fun part of the city to walk around in.

Denver Union Station is an urban transit hub and a high-energy, mixed use destination featuring award-winning chef-driven restaurants, local retail shops, and the luxurious Crawford Hotel. Union Station is Denver's most iconic gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
Completed in 1914, this renovated historical stucture is Denver's main transit hub that allows access to the city's light rail, Amtrak, the Free 16th Street Mall shuttle, several regional buses along with some of the local RTD bus routes. Union Station also serves as a central people hub with it's shops, restaurants and one swanky hotel. At some point, you will find yourself here.

Part of the first downtown area of Denver, this locale has been restored as a trendy shopping area.
Larimer Square is a cute street filled with little shops and restaurants. It's a good place to leisurely stroll/window shop and then get a snack and do some people watching The Market at Larimer Square is perfect for this. Go inside and order a piece of one of their gorgeous cakes, and a glass of wine and grab a table outside. My husband and I popped in here randomly and ended up having a nice, relaxing time and a much needed break from walking around the city. The baked goods are incredible and a nice selection of wine and local craft beer.

I was here for the final night of a company conference with about 3000 folks. It is just a great layout, many convenient bars, fantastic selection of foods, just a great venue for food, fun and great music. We were treated to a private concert by Daughtry and he was just amazing. You have to like his soul filled sounds, they will move you, if you let them. After the concert, there was this really cool tent where everyone was dancing around with special headsets, this was just a really cool experience, I will look for something like this for times when you want to have loud music, but its after 10PM and you don't want the cops to get called...... That is not the issue here, but just sayin for an cool idea
