Historic site brings to life that part of Canada's past when conflict between Europe's empire-builders took place on the shore of the Annapolis River.
Well-designed and informative paths and buildings, overlooking the Bay of Fundy gives one an insightful understanding of its history.

The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal, who operates the popular Candlelight Graveyard Tours, also owns this historic lighthouse. It serves as the headquarters for their award-winning National Historic District, Acadian / Mi'kmaq and Cradle of Our Nation Tours which raise funds for preservation of the lighthouse. Tours have been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. The lighthouse was built in 1889 and is situated almost halfway between the Equator and the North Pole in the heart of Canada's largest national historic district.
This lighthouse is almost brand new . It was started to be built last year. It is located right on the town of Annapolis Royal and you walk right by it on the new boardwalk on the Main Street. It is a lovely walk with great views of The Bay of Fundy. Well worth the walk especially on a nice day
