Hexham (/ˈhɛksəm/ HEKS-əm) is a market town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, south of the River Tyne, and was the administrative centre for the Tynedale district from 1974 to 2009. In 2011, it had a population of 11,829.

The Forge cafe is fantastic, great food, friendly staff and welcoming. It's one place you can go alone and not feel alone, as staff are so friendly & welcoming. The shop & studios also offer a wide range of beautiful & unique arts & crafts. Well worth a visit!
