The concrete steps wind along a tunnel of verdant trees leading the visitors to a panoramic vista of sky, plains and sea horizons. Markers depicting the 14 Stations of the Cross punctuate the way up. During Lenten Season, thousands of people come to the place to participate in the Katkat Sakripisyo, a religious re-enactment of Jesus Christ's passion, suffering and death through the traditional Way of the Cross.

As COVID-19 limits our travel restrictions. We explore one of the famous spots in our very own province. Misamis Occidental is a home of the spiritual Caluya Shrine. Its more of a 140 steps going up and the view at the main place was outstanding. Site seeing of U-river and Floating cottages is worth the while. Thanks for the recommendations Kent!
