We booked online for a group of 6 people of ages 11 to 44. We arrived around 20 minutes before schedule and were greeted by a very kind staff member. She explained us that we would start on-time, but that in the meantime we could dress up with a assortment of costumes, from pirate to police to detective to just crazy stuff. We already had a lot of fun there. We were taken to the actual experience of our choice, The Dungeon. Without spoiling anything I will describe the room. First of all, the facilities are modest. Don't expect a Hollywood or Broadway style level or production. The room was small, maybe 10 x 10. It was dark and themed with pirate stuff. To be 100% honest, when I got into the room my first impression was "is this it?". However, I will assure you this: Once the time starts and you start exploring the room you quickly get swallowed by the imagination and the theme and the story and the room becomes magical. You are 'there'! You are in a dungeon! You are presented with a small introductory video of safety rules, then an intro movie of the game itself and then a timer that starts afterwards that is always present to add tension. The room is dark, intentionally dark. But you never feel uneasy, worried or scared. You feel adrenaline rushing as the time ticks and you begin finding clues. The puzzles are not hard, they require observation. It is then that you realize that the initially-plain-looking room is actually a well thought out location full of tricks, dead ends and tiny details. I highly recommend this activity for families. Our family worked together as a team. The kids were engaged, and the adults provided a bit more of brain power for the clues. It was a great mix of efforts by each of the parts. The experience offers some hints, and the assisting lady we had was very good because she did not tell us outright the answers. She asked how we were doing and she would just guide us towards us finding the next piece. OH, and WE WON! In movie fashion we opened the door with 2 seconds left! That was SO EXHILARATING!!! Negatives: The price is a bit steep as it is $25 per person for 45 minutes. I would at least consider special pricing for small groups of 2 or 4 (2 for $40 or buy 3 get 1?)... I would also recommend perhaps coupons for discounts on your next visit to encourage return customers. After the experience, the employee got us some pictures in front of the sign with our costumes. She was super nice! One final recommendation would be to have a sort of prop Trophy so winners can take a picture saying I MADE IT! to brag with friends!!! Overall, I loved this place and will definitely do it again!
