Cabanas hotel offers guests a contemporary twist and great ‘base’ to explore the resort. As the sun sets over the open spaces and rolling lawns the nights begin at the Cabanas Pool Deck, with chic cocktails and a vibrant island setting. No other resort in South Africa has as wide a variety of accommodation options as Sun City. If you’re looking for unsurpassed 5-star luxury, something to suit the whole family, or your own comfortable unit away from the crowds – we’ve got everything you need. Each hotel has its own unique style, character and attractions. These are your five Sun City accommodation options: The Palace of the Lost City, part of the Sunlux Collection. The 5-star Cascades hotel is elegant, comfortable and central to all of Sun City’s attractions. The flamboyant 4-star Soho hotel boasting the Sun City Casino where all the action is. The 3-star Cabanas hotel and the self-catering time share option, Sun Vacation Club.
We parked, checked in, and went to ask for porter to assist with our bags from the car at parking, porter said I must bring the car to the reception so that they can take the bags. I got irritated a bit, because I saw them collecting other people's bags from packing when I came in. We moved our own bags from car to the hotel lobby. Good gentlemen came to assist to move them to room 2363. We get to the room it was not made up. Now I am really getting irritated. Luckily the gentlemen that helped with the bags went to the reception to go sort it out. They gave us room 2362. What a way to welcome paying guests. Besides the bad check in experience, it was a good stay. We actually used our rooms to sleep and freshen up as we spent most of the time outside, enjoying the last summer days. We arrived Thursday there was good crowd, weekend got really busy. Been to sun city before staying at cascades, cabanas is nicely open for the kids, but I'll use other hotels next time.

Visited with my family during the festive seasons and we had a lovely stay with so much to do (thanks to the GZ adventures, grate service and activities). The downside to this place is the service and the food ( there's no variety and if you order from the ala carte menu, you must be prepared to wait). They really need to improve there.

Manyane Resort is a lodge, bungalow and camping resort on the edge of Pilanesberg National Park. The resort rooms were functional with a small cement pad porch and grill for cooking your own meals. You could also walk to the main lodge where there is a pool, restaurant and bar. The food at the restaurant was top notch with some unique dishes. The bar had ice cold beer and an intimate setting. Best thing about the place is it’s proximity to the park. A quick two minute drive and you are in the park.

The restaurant seems well run. The menu is average and the prices average. Service on the day was good, The area round the pools looks tidy and clean. Pools are clean but need maintenance, Putt Put court neglected. Picnic areas are fairly tidy. Mineral baths have been derelict for the last two years. Fish Pond dirty and not cared for. Rooms are average. Bit Pricey . Caravan stands have yet to be completed and there is no Ablution block near, You have to either walk or drive to the nearest Ablution Block.

Initially we were delighted by the what we found an amazing bush camp in the middle of Madikwe game reserve. We arrived late at 6pm and had missed most activities for the afternoon that we were entitled to from check in at 2. We were checked in with no problems and had a great first evening. The Next day at breakfast we were summoned to an office and rudely told and accused of lying about the booking. Via booking.com I had incorrectly put 1 person, instead of 2. I had apologize to them and asked for a break down of what was owed.(this was strange as we had been checked in without any notification) Initially they wanted to charge us double and when we enquired about this on booking.com they had said it is double what they’re recommended. At this stage are trip was beginning to become soured and the new rates seemed rather high considering we had only checked in at 6 the previous day and we decided to check out early. Aha and the camp still went and charged what they believed was the full price of my account without authorization. We then contacted Booking.com and they agreed with us and sent an email to the lodge in which they remained silent! I would not recommend this camp or any camp that is run by aha.
