Shangri-La Group never let me down. It is great to stay with especially when considering there is nice and efficient staff. My trip was disturbed by a ridiculous hotel group leading to a sudden changes. However, the staff in Shangri-La helped me amend my booking at once and answer my questions patiently. They are with professional attitude and friendly tone which totally respectable. I do recommend others staying in Shangri-La, and you

Strategically located close to the shopping and business centres of Kota Kinabalu City, this hotel is perfect location to work, live and play."
Food was a little expensive at the restaurants, but still was fairly good. You get vouchers for breakfast and dinner which is really nice. The rooms were really great and had comfortable beds. I found the price for the resort to be a good price for what is all included.

Nexus Resort Karambunai is set within 3,335 acres of unique & unspoiled beauty.
The resort is very nice located, has its own beach. The gardens are very beautifull. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. There was a problem with the bedlinnen and that was solved in a very good way. The food was good. Advise to the owner or gm: The resort needs updating in maintenance, like cleaning , painting outside spaces. Repairing outside furniture. The staff is great so when you update the rooms and outside the resort as a whole will be wonderfull

I've read lots of reviews about this resort before booking a stay. All i can say is I'm very satisfied with the service. The room is clean & bathroom too. They provide everything, soap, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, towels..only a floor towel is missing. But when i requested for it, it was quickly delivered to our room. We parked our car at the side of the roads, just like everyone did, but we couldn't find a big rock to choke the back wheel (cos we see everyone did it cos the road is steep). So, we tried to ask one of the staff at the restaurant to help us to find a rock for our car, even though we're not confident that our request will be heard cos all the staffs were very busy at that time. But to our suprise, when we checked our car not too long after, they already put the rocks there. The food at the restaurant was delicious & i think the prices are reasonable. At night, we really enjoyed the view from our room. You can see the whole city & the night lights view is amazing. We don't mind the bugs cos yea we expected them as the resort is near to nature. In fact our kids enjoyed looking at the nite creatures especially the fireflies. Surprisingly, there's no mosquito at all. The breakfast was simple, there were fried noodles, fried rice, fried eggs, sausage, baked beans, bread & toaster provided, coffee & tea. The fried noodle was tasty. When we arrived for breakfast, some of the food were finished but was quickly replenished. So, all i wanna say is please give this place a try. Some of the reviews are not agreeable for me. The staffs are really trying their best. If you need anything, please just ask from them & don't just simply give bad review when u didn't get what you didn't ask.

I have had previously booked a stay at one of their villas [pre-COVID era] and back then, the experience was much pleasant. HOWEVER After my recent visit, I can no longer encourage potential visitors/tourists to stay at their premises. It is severely undermaintained, dirty and downright NOT WORTH your money! [or your time to be honest]. It costs me around 500 to 600 bucks for the night, and I must say it is like daylight robbery if you choose to stay at their premises! During our stay - faulty aircon, our private pool the next morning suddenly was drained out without any prior notice and there were too many flies INSIDE THE HOUSE! So please, PLEASE REFRAIN yourselves from BOOKING A STAY at this property! Save your hard-earned money and go somewhere else! I implore potential visitors/tourists TO STAY AWAY!
