Whether you’re exploring Vermont’s covered bridges, visiting Quechee Gorge or skiing at Killington, you’ll find Vermont to be picture-perfect. If you’re the outdoorsy type, you’ll love Vermont. In winter, of course, there’s plenty of skiing and snowboarding. In the warmer months, however, Vermont offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and boating. If you enjoy boating, swimming and fishing, a vacation rental on Lake Champlain might be perfect for you.

A stay here is a true Vermont experience (rural drive and surroundings, the farm and handsome farmhouse, the maple syrup). A comfortable room and excellent breakfast are reasons enough to hang your hat here but the warmth of the inn keeper Donna makes time here special. I highly recommend!

Having rented a cottage via VRBO, we went for a lovely walk on West Shore Road and happened by Fisk Farm and the neighbouring art barn. What a lovely find! Many artworks and crafts on display for viewing and for sale!

Farmhouse has 2 queen rooms, 1 twin all with private baths plus a 5 twin bed dorm room with shared bath, all newly decorated. Help yourself accommodations provided in guest kitchen. 2 fireplaces and lovely common areas. Farmhouse is set upon 33 acres of pasture, woods and river. Nearby to many attractions.
Turtle Pointe Retreat is a beautiful inn located 10 minutes out Route 30 from Brattleboro. It is set on a huge field surrounded by trees and mountains. A short walk down the hill leads you to the "lower field" where there is a labrinth then continue down to the river below, though it is a bit of a steep trip! The foliage is amazing this time of year. There are great walking trails and swimming in the river in the summer is a treat! I have been there one weekend a month for a conference/training since April and have had a great time exploring the outdoors. There is a converted barn to hold classes and trainings. The land has a very special feel to it, the energy is palpable. The rooms are great and the bed was by far the most comfortable "hotel" bed I have ever slept in. There is a full kitchen for the guests to use, as no meals are served. There is a great dining room table and it is fun to prepare your own meals and have dinner with your group. You are also close enough to restaurants to go out for meals. There are 2 livingroom areas for lounging around, one with a gas stove, the other with a fireplace. The greatest thing about Turtle Pointe is Barbara, the owner. She makes you feel right at home. Barbara provides energy and body work/ massage that exceeds any I have ever had. I planned on staying an extra night after my training and ended up staying 2 and added another healing session. She has a beautiful website with pictures and descriptions of the inn and services.
Offers farm working vacations where guests learn to sugar, run a dairy, drive a tractor, enjoy hayrides, horseback riding and camping.

Surrounded by 200 acres of forest and field for hiking, snowshoeing, and more, Stowe Cabins in the Woods is the perfect choice for the couple who wants to get away to a special spot in the woods that they can call their own. Family friendly and pet friendly too, Stowe Cabins in the Woods is the unique and affordable choice for the whole family seeking accommodations outside the confines of a hotel, motel, inn, or B&B.
My family stayed in Cabin 3--Chestnut for two nights on our recent visit to Stowe, VT. The only reason I am giving this place even one star is because it is in a great location. Surrounded by beautiful woods. Though be prepared for a very bumpy ride on the way to your cabin as the road has pot holes and ditches in it. This place is Tucked away and private. Which we enjoyed. And, very close to all the areas attractions that you might want to visit. But, that's where the pros stop for me. I have read other reviews and understand that you need the expectations of staying in a cabin rather than the expectations of staying in a resort. The problem is, that on our vacation this was not the only cottage/cabin we stayed in. But, it was by far the dirtiest and least kept place. In fact, I wiped lots of things down with clorox wipes while I was there. So I am convinced I am leaving it cleaner than we found it. It smells musty. There has been no effort made at all to even wipe/dust blinds. Or clean cob webs. Or even have regular maintenance or repairs done on things. There were cob webs everywhere. the blinds were COVERED in a thick layer of grime and dust. Our bed comforter and sheets had pet hair covering them. I understand it's a pet friendly cottage, but the fact that the place where we were sleeping had a thick layer of pet hair all over it just made it feel like nothing was even washed or cleaned in between visits. Our towels did smell clean but they also smelled of cigarettes. There was black mold in the bathroom. This place might be a nice place to stay if they took cleaning seriously. At this point, they probably need to rip up all the carpet and put down hard floors of some kind. And, update the bathroom. Replace blinds. I understand that these things are expensive. But, they are necessary the older a place gets. I feel like this cabin is just a huge health hazard waiting to happen. We almost left straight away after seeing the state of things. But, decided to just suffer through it afraid we would not get a refund. I am thankful our days were spent away from the cabin and we were really just using it to sleep at night. My son is allergic to dogs/cats so his asthma flared up during our visit. And I was just relieved when we were pulling away from the cabin and moving on to a different location during our trip. I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone who values cleanliness or hygiene.
