The tour that was planned was amazing. They took care of our needs from the start till the end of the tour. We had a great time trekking and camping, our trek guide and the caretaker were very hospitable and made us feel comfortable throughout the trek and stay. The trek was during autumn, which had a different feel to itself, with yellow and red shades of the forests, even though it was a bit chilly in November. The way to moridugh was not that difficult, however be prepared to be spellbound by the views it has to offer. The campsite was amidst the forests with a view of snowcapped mountains. The tents and other facilities provided in the camp kept us warm and comfy during the wintry weather. Trek to Bhrigu lake was a bit steep. Even if you do not reach Bhrigu lake, make sure to atleast trek till the meadow area also known as the lonely tree, the view is totally mesmerizing! My overall experience with Himalayan Frontiers was top notch! Could not have asked for a better tour and hospitality! Highly recommended!!
The experience at Spiti Valley can be best described through Rudyard Kipling's words, “Surely the Gods must live here, and this is no place for men.” Located at an average height of 12,500 feet above sea level, Spiti Valley consists of stark high alpine lands, scattered with small postcard-perfect villages of whitewashed mud-homes and monasteries. Prepare to travel to a world where villages appear like a mirage after miles of trailing a turquoise green river nestled between snow-capped barren mountains and blue lakes; a world which has the coldest winters you’ll ever see, but therein reside the warmest people you will meet. This comfortable and carefully curated seven-day Spiti Valley Innova Jeep tour is designed for travelers looking for an authentic Spiti Valley experience in a week’s time.Tour includes travelling to some of villages of Spiti Valley including Komik and Kibber. The moment I met the guide named Kamal I had this calm feeling that everything is taken care of. When I was embarking on my solo trip to Indian Himalayas I was very nervous and insecure. But then last minute a friend recommended me Take me to Himalayas and that changed everything. First of all you have to have an outstanding driver if you wanna get anywhere. My guide was super confident on the road and you could feel that he grew up here. That it’s his roads. He never referred to GPRS or anything of that kind. He knew what he was doing and where he was going. In Himachal Pradesh you find the most dangerous road in the world. Or no roads sometimes for that matter. But not even once I felt unsafe. Plus a great playlist really helps you to get through hours and hours in the car. Second you have to have a Hindi speaker with you. And you have to have a very easy going, positive Hindi speaker too. Because in such remote places you need to know someone. Especially in winter it gets hard with finding food and even a place to stay. But Kamal knew a lot of people in villages we were visiting plus you could see they were always happy to see him and 100% willing to help. It was beautiful to see how he was interacting with locals and how respectful he was to the culture and traditions. He also could answer any question I could think of regarding the region, India, religions, history, wildlife... I’m sure I would not be able to go much further then Recong Peo without Take me to Himalayas especially at winter. I would not be able to see and experience even half of the things I was able to thanks to them. I can’t stop being grateful for all their help and patience and amazing service that they are offering to those who are willing to witness the beauty of Himalayas all year round. Highly highly recommended!!!
The 900 km tour from Shimla to Manali is one of the ultimate challenges in the Indian Himalayas! This tour includes 14 days of pure fun cycling through two of the most remote regions of the Himalayas: the Kinnaur and Spiti valleys. We cross isolated valleys, visit traditional villages and cross two high mountain passes, Kunzum La (4558 m) and Rothang Pass (3980 m). The tour offers us spectacular views of snow-capped peaks, ancient Buddhist monasteries, raging rivers and glaciers. The roads are partially fortified, but we also have loose gravel. Best time June to October. Tour starts in Shimla and ends in Manali

We travelled in February 2020 just before the whole world went into corona lockdown. Our trip announced as multi adventure tour has fully fulfilled all the promises made upfront and much more. We took airplanes, buses, bikes, boats and also made a lot of walks - even this was a nice adventure. Specially at the three days biking through Rajasthans landscape we saw people living on the farms, working on their fields, a school from inside, marriages and much more. In the cities we saw many cultural highlights, all the colors of the markets and people and even had a lot of of fun with the nice group of people we travelled with. Sarah and her team from Chalo made these weeks to a wonderful experience - not only the tourists view was shown but also a view of the real life in India with all the nice things but not ignoring the problems and issues they have to deal with. It was our 2nd trip to India, and this trip was much better than the 1st one organized by another company (and we saw the tigers!). We would always book another trip with Sarah to experience new India adventures.
The Pin Parvati Trek takes us from the Parvati valley in Kullu to the Pin Valley in Spiti via the 5319 meters high Pin Parvati Pass. You have to be extremely fit and well prepared, as there is no settlement or village along the tour. Only shepherds with their herds can be met or maybe a bear or snow leopard? If someone wants to do a trek in the Indian Himalayas, they should choose this trip. The Spiti Valley is one of the most spectacular valleys in the Himalayas: wild, rough and high! With its Buddhist culture, it offers a great insight into the traditional life, both of the villagers and the monks in their monasteries.
