The 7 Best Outdoor Activities in Rotonda West, Florida (FL)

July 12, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

Rotonda West is an unincorporated, deed-restricted community situated in west Charlotte County, Florida, United States. The U.S. Census Bureau lists it as the Rotonda census-designated place, with a population of 8,759 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Punta Gorda Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was developed and named Rotonda West by Cavanagh Communities Corporation, the developers of a projected but now defunct community named Rotonda in southern Martin County and northern Palm Beach County. Though the layout of Rotonda West precisely mimics World War II airfields in Florida there was not a similar airport at this location prior to development.

If you don't like shooting over water then this is not the course for you. If you like a challenge then this is your spot. Look out the gators. Most greens are in good shape. The club could have ball cleaners stationed around the course. Go at lunch time and enjoy a free dog and a drink.
